Contest - Logo for OXPCentral

Post by Diziet Sma »

Hi all,

OXPCentral is slowly getting closer to launch, and with that in mind I am looking for a suitable logo for the site. Something along the lines of the Oolite bb icon, perhaps, which is 200x91 in size.

Size can be anything up to 200w x 120h, does not need to be any particular shape, format is to be PNG, with transparent background if necessary. Text in the image is optional.

Winning entry to be determined by popular acclaim/vote.

Ok, fire up your favourite graphics editor and go for it!

:D
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Was never good at Logo design and I'm pretty sure others will do a better job. Anyway...

As it happens, that's pretty good, Svengali.
I like the 'octagonal-ness' of it.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Very Robocop OCP-ish (and therefore v. cool!)

that could potentially be PEDO, and i don't think we should go down that route. we'd get entirely the wrong type of clientele.

Perhaps a little late? But I just want to second Diziet. It's a gorgeous idea, Smivs hit the nail exactly on the head! :D

One could probably experiment with which station to use, and how to put the letters on it, but generally I'd say: That's it. :D
