reliability factor for ships

Post by pagroove »

Right now some ships are overpriced for what they do. I was thinking to justify the high price that such ships are far less prone to equipment failures?

Is such a reliability factor in the shipdata.plist possible?

Best examples have to be the standard Boa and Fer-de-Lance.

It would certainly give answers to questions like this

I like the idea, maybe also factor increased or more frequent maintenance costs for unreliable ships to represent the difficulty in maintaining an old bucket of bolts like the Python family.
