a plane or a helicopter?

Still not sure this is for real...

Big thinkers perhaps, but not makers.

Not sure about that... I'd like one of these, though:

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Reminds me a lot of the Moller Skycar. That turned out to be vapourware!

Maybe you could start a Kickstarter Campaign to found your £4500 pledge. 8)
Thanks to Gimi, I got an eBook in my inbox tonight (31st May 2014 - Release of Elite Reclamation)!

 ... Ouch!

I read up on that, you mean Mythbusters Episode 32: Jetpack - they did investigate a rumour that it was possible to build a jetpack with 10k$ and info from the internet - and failed.

The Martin Jet Pack people seem to stem from a little firm that (according to their website) has been working on this for three decades. I am curious what will come out of it - the steep price of about 100000$ forbids any self-experimentation, at least for my purse :(

saw a site about the verticopter a ways back, very feasible and seemed very innovative. the Skycar has been going for about a decade. the engines were amazing, tiny rotary things w/ the power of a Porsche

Right, the question is if it even classifies as a jet pack, no jets being involved. I found out about it just a few days ago, must say if this ever becomes a real option moneywise ... I'll try that out.

ARE YOU GUYS JOKING?

It's only problem is that it needs a 44 ton, not tonne, truck of fuel connected to alow it to fly for more than a useless purpose.
I would bet my fat belly could run farther and longer than your personnel jet.

Unless of course you have a trade name of 007 or Dr Who with a capital D.
LOOK OUT!!!
