Wow, thanks for choosing some of my ships in your artwork DeepSpace, you've made them look really great, like a film poster or something! i really like the viper escort on the transporter, would be cool if they sometimes had these in game, if maybe there were VIP's onboard or something.
Well done on completing your ship set too, definately going to download it when i get back to work and onto a proper internet connection!

Re: A Desktop Pic.
Seconded!!!
Although as Ahruman has always pointed out (rightly and fairly) - this isn't what you get with the standard game and it isn't what you get unless you have shader capable cards - so could be classed as false advertising... (or at least creating false expectations)

Re: A Desktop Pic.
It is a very nice picture, but for the reasons DaddyHoggy mentioned it cannot be an official splash screen Although I understand that a splash screen may not necessarily have to reflect in-game content and could be also of artistic nature, the false expectations issue is not to be overlooked. Additionally, there is a bug in 1.73.4 (which was fixed in trunk about 45 seconds ago), that allows only square splash screens for the Win/Linux builds, so if you want to replace the original one with it, it needs some tweaking of its dimensions before it can be used.Lestradae wrote:Now that would be some Oolite load screen.
Does anybody second that? Seriously ...

Thinking on what you guys have said I thought I'd do a Desktop/Splash screen/Mouse mat that satisfied the criterior. I got to thinking about the Oolite Logo and how it could be made more edgy and interesting. Click on the image again to embiggen' worth it to see all the details. See what you think...
This does work as a really nice Desktop image I have to say. I'll stop posting images in this thread as they really don't have much to do with screenshots. I might start a Desktop Themes thread...
Enjoy...

This is more my style. I prefer "calmer" pictures for desktop wallpaper than the first one.
As for me, go ahead. I can always use some nice desktop backgrounds.I'll stop posting images in this thread as they really don't have much to do with screenshots. I might start a Desktop Themes thread... Enjoy...
