Great Doctorow novelette

Post by goran »

You can read When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth, the winner of the 2007 Locus Award for best novelette for free. I found it very good but being an IT guy I`m biased. 8)

Just read this. Excellent.

Now that story has me wondering what shape I'd be in if such an event were to happen...
My UPS is only likely enough to keep me online for an hour or 2.. would I be awake? Would my ex-military gas-mask protect me enough from the bio weapon? How long would the filter last?
Darn... now it's gonna keep me awake for hours pondering...

Iron assed bulk haulers for the win!

Of the two trumbles which escaped today from Lave station, only 473 have been located....

Dark, but these kinds of events are not unknown or unprepared for by those with a wide focus.

We are all victims of the tragic, eventually. But however we quantify, the strong will continue, and strength can be found in the strangest places these days.
