Jumpgate to Lost Worlds
I've looked through the forums and I can't find anything like this. I know that there are supposed to be ways of getting to the lost worlds (those planets that cannot normally be reached) but I've never been able to get them to work, so ....
Is it possible to create a jumpgate to reach these otherwise inaccessible regions ...
or do I need to be wary of champanzee's with baseball bats?

Re: Jumpgate to Lost Worlds
One way to reach those worlds is to use a custom Galactic Hyperdrive behaviour (Fixed Coordinates or All Systems Reachable) and execute a galactic jump from the appropriate location that will land you spot on in the middle of the isolated zones. This method requires some scripting to get it to work.
Alternatively, you can manipulate the properties of forced misjumps in order to position yourself favorably for a jump that will cross the normally uncrossable gap between reachable and unreachable planets. I'll let other, more experienced voyagers who've already done the deed explain the fine details.

Re: Jumpgate to Lost Worlds
There's some info on the wiki about the Galactic hyperdrive that might help. Haven't tried it though.
Re: Jumpgate to Lost Worlds
Misjumping tricks work to cross the Great Rift in Galaxy Chart 7 and to reach Oresrati in Galaxy Chart 8.
Once you reach Oresrati or (were it possible) the disconnected system pairs Galaxy Charts 3 and 6, you're stuck there unless you have a Galactic Hyperdrive.
But the disconnected systems in Galaxy Charts 3 and 6 are too far from other systems to be reachable through any number of misjumps.
I did have a way in Oolite v1.76 to reach the disconnected systems in Galaxy Charts 3 via stacked wormholes, but it was removed as a bug/exploit:

You need a GalDrivePod

Dearest Smivs
Can you please explain, in words of one syllable or less, how to get to the lost pairs in Galaxy's 3 and 6. I've tried using it to get to those in 3 but I can't manage it

Ha, I'll try to rein-in my usual over-exhuberant verbosity.Diogenese Senna wrote:...please explain, in words of one syllable or less, how to get to the lost pairs in Galaxy's 3 and 6.
For Chart 3, Ditere (Planet 133) and Atlaar (Planet 206) jump from Usceed (Planet 105) in G2
For Chart 6, Estebiin (Planet 55) and Tetier (Planet 33) jump from Inbe (Planet 129) or Usenat (Planet 23). To get to Beanxeat (Planet 41) and Qutius (Planet 202), jump from Dioris (Planet 9).
Just to confirm, jump from the jump-off system using a regular Galactic Hyperdrive, with a GalDrivePod mounted on a pylon, then activate the GalDrivePod when you want to leave - remember it will cause a Galactic jump so you will end up in the next galaxy.

Wouldn't you have to change the
galactic_hyperspace_behaviour
setting?I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
