This is a little sneak peak of what I am working on. A replacement pack for the Behemoth and the Galactic Navy. This is the first ship which is a Thor class supercarrier. It is about twice the lenght of a dodo, but about half as high. Based on this ship I am going to start working on another smaller carrier, since I saw there are 2 behemoth models and will be called the Neptune-Class.
If anybody has other suggestions about names, please feel free to comment. now 'nough said and time for screenshots. This ship keeps the triangular aspect and fits in well with Griff's ships.
Turrets will be fitted on the round lighted spots. The texture is of course based on Griff's Coriolis, which will be turned to blue I think since its a navy NPC ship.
Thank you. Actually I started on this from scratch this morning at 9.30 Am, the model is original and I haven't copied a single thing, must be overdosing on .... ah never mind. . I think I found me a hobby.
Well copied nothing exept the texture of course.

dertien... that is beautiful.
<heh... starts thinking about names>
Think hard EV, I am not that original with names. And I forgot to tell you, thanks for the reference to the PDF maps of the galaxy systems. I just saw them yesterday, they are gorgeous indeed.
It looks... dangerous. Strike that. Lethal. Where do you get the inspiration for all this stuff from?!
As for names: Since you started on the Norse pantheon, I think you should stick with it: Rename the bigger of the two Odin, use Thor for the smaller (father-son). If you're planning on doing special ships to be carried by the carriers - or as escorts - you could either use other gods, or delve into their equipment: Sleipnir (Odin's horse), Gungir (his spear), Hugin & Munin (his scout-ravens), Mjöllnir, Megingjörð, Járngreipr, Gríðarvölr (Thor's hammer, belt, gloves and staff).

- Well, I dare not say it, it starts with a J and ends with babies. Now hush and don't tell anybody.
- Jeez, this guy must have had a big trunk on his horse to keep all that stuff handy. anyway.
- Good, keeping the logic in the naming makes sense. So I agree to trash Neptune.

Wikipedia's short list of Norse gods: Baldr · Bragi · Forseti · Dellingr · Freyr · Heimdall · Hermóðr · Höðr · Hœnir · Kvasir · Lóðurr · Loki · Meili · Mímir · Móði and Magni · Njörðr · Odin · Óðr · Thor · Týr · Ullr · Váli · Víðarr · Vili and Vé
Note that the spelling of these are pretty flexible. For instance, if I were to write down the ones for which I have any notion of the spelling, it'd look something like this: Balder, Brage, Frøy/Frei/Frøya/Freia, Heimdal, Kvasir, Loke, Njord, Odin, Tor, Tyr, Ull.

Not wanting to deflect your thought processes, it just occurred to me that this looks like a cruise liner type ship, so rather than make it a Navy vessel why not a cruise liner for tourism.The excellent Vector Galaxy maps have ideal routes as well.
