Failing HUD

Post by spara »

This little oxp makes an overdue maintenance overhaul a bit more annoying by randomly starting to flicker the hud when your ship's service level is below the point you're being offered one. The worse the condition, more probable the malfunction is. Flickering can be stopped by resetting the view by switching to another view so it's mostly annoying rather than being dangerous.

A couple of lines borrowed from CaptMurphy's excellent Breakable HUD oxp.

Have fun and please report any oddities.

Yum, I think I'll try this one :-)

Spara, what do you think of having the screen slowly darkening too ?
It could be done by slowly decreasing the universe ambient light.

That could work, Day. This oxp is one of those more experimental ones I've done and it would require more thought and polishing to make it good. I kind of lost interest on it after making it and it was left to version 0.1. Anyone interested in doing something with it is more than welcome to do so.
