Are there any bugs to iron out before renaming the topic as 'release' rather than Beta, and are these ready for the wiki?
I like them a lot graphically. Some of the textures are pretty large and could be smaller - 512x512 for ship textures is usually fine, and saves a lot of graphics memory and processing compared with 1024 or 2048, which would help on low-end graphics cards - but they do look very nice.
Only one minor bug I've seen so far. There seems to be something slightly off with the astromine textures - the bit with the docking bay surround seems to be creeping on to the other faces of the mine, just at the edges. Presumably on the old more uniform textures this also happened but wasn't particularly noticeable, so it's possible that the only way to fix this would be to re-do the UV Map and model file for the astromine.
Thanks for the feedback - that's why I released as a Beta. I can redo the gulag texture to reduce the border around the docking bay so it does not show on the other sides. The ship textures can be reduced in size too - I will consider doing two versions, as a hires and a 512 res.
