I've seen many things in Oolite. Generation ships, Thargoid fleets, Novae, even Q-Bomb cascades dwarfing planets. But not even the Tionisla Orbital Graveyard is as spooky as this:

Image

It's just plain freaky. A lone ship, far from the spacelanes, in an isolated system, embedded in in asteroid, for who knows how long. This is one of those things that makes Xeptatl's Sword such an interesting mission.

You have to wonder? if? :P

The stock will crash harder than the ship. "This is the captain. I have just finished making an E-trade and have left the ship. All hands to escape pods." :P
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Using my tail gun to destroy some poor innocent in an adder, while skimming just 300m above the planet surface.

I like the Constrictor, or more specifically Griff’s Constrictor, so I have it appear very rarely as a normal pirate… it gives me a nice surprise occasionly. This one had just locked-on to me when the Viper started on him, so he disengaged and went for the GalCop ship instead. I tracked the pair of them with short bursts of the torus as they injectored away, and eventually I caught-up with them while they were duelling and snuck onto the Constrictor’s six. Just after I took this pic, I started taking unintentional hits from the Viper and had to veer away sharpish.

"The Moloch II" seems a fitting name for it. :D

One wonders what happened to this pilot's first ship.

Yes indeed! Alas, no scripted pilot with this variant... and when the Viper eventually splashed the Constrictor, its escape pod took off at a helluva speed.

Hmm… the Viper Interceptor has a lower max energy than the Constrictor, but its recharge rate is higher, and it’s more maneuverable.
It was a good dogfight to watch, that much I know, prolonged by NPC Shields.
