Wormhole scanner bug on enemy ship?

Using Oolite 1.7.4. Game hardly ever crashes, and has not in weeks. But destroyed a pirate sidewinder scout and an error debug box came up, shows a problem because the enemy ship had a worm-hole scanner? Had choice to debug or quit, and the box closed before I go do anything... Not sure if this has ...

Commander El Viejo, what ship is it you fly, if you don't mind me asking?

PS
That is a serious swarm of foes - Time to hit the old energy bomb! :D

Ah! It's a reference to an old Elite short story! :)
And indeed, sir - It also could be taken as a nod to your good self!

Re: Antiubericity

Agree with the basis. As you know, the great thing about OXPs is the ability to tweak and edit them if we have the know how. Indeed if a crazy or not so good OXP is among a "huge collection(tm)", it is more tricky to prune them out, but it can be done. At the end of the day, you want Oolit...

Re: nasty and deadly

Multi-lasers would overheat really quickly, which is why you can deliver more sustained damage by rotating around and giving the big ships fire from your side and/or rear lasers as well while your front laser cools down. Yes - Hence the aft lasers I use on every ship I have owned since playing Elit...

Re: Antiubericity

Oolite's balance hasn't changed a bit since version 1.00, and I don't think it's ever going to change (well, at least I don't foresee any changes). Therefore you will see Oolite retain the current enjoyable balance, no matter what. That is really all I need to hear... The only thing changing is wha...

Re: Antiubericity

"Not having the game changed at the behest of those who want it made restricted and difficult so they can display some kind of elitism." that's being a bit snobby. not everyone wants a limit to prove how clever they are. my wish for antiubericity is simply to keep things w/in a believable...

Re: nasty and deadly

I know it is hard coded, but I really wish multi-lasers were available for the player.
While I am happy with mili-lasers against usual pirates, etc - Some extra firepower
would be useful against big targets like frigates and Thargon Battleships...

Re: Antiubericity

If uber-players wish to have restricted play, I think it should be a toggled option. So we are not all forced to adhere to masochist "Elite" mentality in gameplay. I really think we should leave it to the player to make a choice. Let me underline the point that in a single player game it ...

Re: Random Hits OXP - Version 1.3.6 (Updated 5/8/09)

Actually, now that I think of it, there has been very little in the way of criminal retribution for all my hits lately.

And not many (only one or two) mass crook attacks on the space bars!

Re: Favourite ship.

I think starting off on a ship like the python is not so much cheating as role-play. It is one of the classic vessels. And you could stipulate that you were a rich planet-based businessman who spent his life-saving to buy a ship. The whole premise of the Elite game built around getting a free Cobra ...
