Excellent suggestion. This is a problem I've fixed for the next update to Galactic Navy (ETA August) by making the wingmates less chatty. I was annoyed by the running commentary as well.

Isn't that the truth. I've played with several "escort" type missions for the update to galactic navy and they were all incredibly boring or frustratingly tedious - read not fun.

Agreed on the weakness of the Behemoth. They are much more suited to the carrier/flagship role [prepare for shameless plug] like in Galactic Navy where they are flanked by frigates, fighters, and transports [/end shameless plug]. I think the price has to be huge since it's really the only balance point for these weapons. Very cool building. I'm not too interested in the multi-planet system idea, but I love the idea of adding dockable cities to the already existing planets.
