Also what's the average spec of most peoples machines, can I go crazy on the models and textures or do we still need the replacements to be conservative? Ok, as most of you know - I'm pretty new to all of this (but was lucky to latch on to Doc's excellent "AD-X" campaign just as it kicked off), I've spent more time reading the BBs than playing the game but there's a few things I haven't found yet so perhaps some of the "old timers"...

@Pangloss - don't want to speak on Doc's behalf but I believe he's taking more ads (256x128 don't forget). As he says:

OK this is it - I'm now a spent force! I had to fly around for ages until I got the Viper in the position I wanted it (I couldn't think of another way of doing it). I've considerably darkened the main text and then used a very dark grey to round off some of the corners.
