Re: Equipment Reordering
What is the code for adding the headers on the F3 screen without the price and install time showing up? What is the code for getting the headers on the F5 screen? Inquiring minds want to know. Amend that to read - "minds that are ridiculously obsessed with tweaking everything want to know".

Re: Expanded Weapon Info
Damage/shot is the Damage = [#] from a shipdata.plist --- can also be expressed as Damage per Shot Fire rate is the recharge_rate = [#] from a shipdata.plist -- this is equivalent to the number of times per second that the Laser fires 0.1 = 10x per second (a continuous beam) ---> 1.0 = 1x per second...

Re: Dev version 1.91 upper right corner data splat
Upgraded from v1.90 to the latest end user v1.91 a few days ago and have found several worlds of difference. There was a very brief learning curve in getting a few things transferred around and backed up. Getting the .GNUstepDefaults file squared away also took a slight bit of time but that mostly i...

S B Y = Space Battleship Yamato. Named after the World War II Japanese Battleship. Although, if memory serves, in the Anime it more closely resembled a submarine then a battleship.

Re: Dev version 1.91 upper right corner data splat
Neat. Last time this was brought up all sorts of hex editing of the Source Code was required to remove the watermark. There are three nightly versions listed. A Development version (-dev), a Test version (-test), and another with neither of these appendages to its name. What does this third one do? ...

Re: Galactic Almanac OXZ - Full Version 0.92 - Now on the Expansion Pack Manager (Updated 12.08.23)
Did not realize the conflicts involved. My thoughts on it did not go into that amount of detail and depth. Thank You for the thorough explanation. As stated previously the current Galactic Almanac Planet and Moon numbering system works in my Ooniverse if an eye is kept towards the distances involved...

Re: Galactic Almanac OXZ - Full Version 0.92 - Now on the Expansion Pack Manager (Updated 12.08.23)
Would it be possible to change the way Planets and Moons get numbered? Currently they get numbered in order from the Main Planet and its Moon(s) on out through the system. We currently have Planet I, Moon II, Moon III, etc. all of which are located within the Main Planetary System. My suggestion wou...

Re: Shield Cycler NEXT 1.12.2
If you have not done so already check out SHIELD EQUALIZER AND CAPACITORS . These two OXZs work well together but for the sake of less Primable Equipment the above works on its own with similar functionality. Be forewarned that the above also grants better shields to NPCs should you choose for it to...

Re: Controversy Corner
Once inside the Wormhole the throttle is brought up to full so that my ship is not standing still upon exiting . Can't happen (in the vanilla game at least). Should have been clearer. Yes, you cannot reach full speed inside a Wormhole but if your throttle is at max upon exiting the Wormhole you wil...

Re: Controversy Corner
I am going to throw in an idea that would require a change to the game but would give a reason for ships to head to the witchpoint. This is to make the accuracy of a jump be dependent on the distance from the planet/sun. If you jump straight after leaving the station (and out of the aegis) then you...

Re: New splash screen and icon
Thank You for the Images. The tinkering will now commence. Edit Well that was easier then supposed. Thanks to phkb's generosity a new version is up at the link in my previous post. Much less blurriness around the planet edges due to not having to create parts of them by copying and pasting other par...

Welcome Aboard Commander !!
What you are describing should not happen. The front and rear lasers are not linked in terms of over heating. When switching views, and thereby weapons, the weapon's heat indicator should zero out.
What ship are you flying? What H.U.D. are you using?
