Re: Frontier Developments plc Full year trading update
Yeah, that share price chart is not a pretty picture, although to be fair, it's still a way off it's 3 year low of around 100p (I'm assuming 180.00 means 180p, not 180 pounds...)

Re: Bank accounts and galactic jumps
[Walks in late to the party...] Oooo this sound awesome. My next thought is to have multiple 'bank accounts' in the one chart. This would get annoying once you have acquired enough credits to fill your hold with computers, meaning that one would have to start putting their credits into the precious ...

Hmmm...17th Sept 2006. I had no idea I've been tinkering with Oolite for so long!

Re: The Current state of Space games in general
+1 for anticipating Limit Theory. It offers all that ED offered, but without the demanding time committment. It offers all that Oolite offers, but without 25+ years of history (there is always in the back of my mind the thought that DB will do to Oolite what was done to Pioneer and demand that we st...

Re: Elite: Dangerous - beyond the frontier
Wow, lots of downvotes. Understandable, though when you consider how efficiently FDEV burnt through their goodwill developed during the kickstarter. The loyal fanbase has moved on after being disappointed with being ignored. I'm no longer waiting for the game that was originally designed as I've mov...

Re: Amusing Little Subreddit
My gosh, there's half an hour of my life I won't get back.
That subreddit is strangely addictive. I loved the "...serious audio lag..." bug post (referring to watching fireworks)

Re: [Solved] Help how do I Install 1.80. oolite im new to Li
OK, so I don't think that I'm getting the behaviour I was expecting. When I use the --target install parameter, all it is doing (that I can see) is installing the Resources folder to my specified location. This doesn't seem to have any effect on the location of the AddOns or the ManagedAddOns folder...

Thanks for the tip Norby - I didn't notice that last post on the previous page.

Re: [Solved] Help how do I Install 1.80. oolite im new to Li
It's time for my annual Christmas laptop reimaging. This year I'm going to give Linux Mint 17.3 a try. Initial experience has been great - the show stopping hardware glitches that I encountered a couple of years ago are no longer there. Haven't ditched Windows completely - I'll still be running Wind...

Re: The Oolite economy - Police response
Well if (and that's a very big IF) I decide to do something like this, then the name of the OXP/Z would be "Local Militia". They would be supplementary to the existing GalCop presence.

Re: The Oolite economy - Police response
Ah well that's kind of a shame. That puts the brakes somewhat on introducing more regional variation between systems (I did like my idea being stung for a law enforcement bill when arriving at the main station of a Corporate State). But the beauty of Oolite is if I like this idea enough, I can alway...

The Oolite economy - Police response
I've been wondering lately about whether the numbers on the system description page (F7) stands up to close analysis. (This is merely a brain dump. I'm not planning any OXPs around this). Edit: Originally I was going to explore the actual numbers but my brain has degenerated this train of thought in...

Re: Mossfoot's Tales of Woe...
<more applause and cheering> Agreed, a great read here. I do hope that, given your practice of using your in-game experiences as inspiration for the story, that Mossfoot's (sorry, I mean Maurice Foot's) sudden drop in credit balance and rank was not the result of an unexpected commander reset. :o
