Re: Collecting ships

This has been touched on here: https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?t=330 However I feel one aspect of it should be considered... Owning more than one ship. I think you should be able to park a ship at a port, get in another one, come back and swap. When purchasing you should have the option of pa...

Actually, realistic physics or not, there is no reason why a truck in space would be any slowed than a car, assuming the truck has thrusters scaled to match the car for accel, and had particle screens that allowed as high max speed as said car.

Cops may still have scanned you as you approached. You just take your chances with these types of cargo!
So instead of scooping narcs, can I shoot em for bounty?

You cannot expect a big truck to behave like F1 car, does not matter how expensive it is. You cannot turn at high speeds the same way you do when driving slowly. So IC pitch rate is unrealistic for the ooniverse. If elite was based on real physics, you'd have to retrothrust to decel, and you'd have...

Possibley. Depends if a police ship scanned you when you were docking (I think). You pretty much always suffer a legal penalty if you buy them yourself, but not always if you scoop them. I just use the docking thing where so long as you have the S, you just hit shift D and you automatically go in t...

That would be the answer I was looking for.

So if i scoop up narcs someon else dropped and bring them into a station and sell them, do i take a penalty to legal status?

What precisely is illegal?

Do I get a penalty to my legal status for... Buying Illegal Cargo? Selling Illegal Cargo? Having it in my hold when a GalCop viper flies by? Having it period?

Could someone please clarify just what is illegal?
