Boa vs Cobra roll rates

A quick check on the Oolite wiki shows that the Boa has: Roll: 2.8 Pitch: 1.0, the trusty Cobra MkIII has Roll: 2.0 Pitch: 1.0.

If there are effects don't like, can I just delete the relevant sound file, or will this cause problems when it can't find the file?
