Re: [RELEASE] OMGLaser OXP v0.4.0.2

Yes, in this way: ship.explode(); ;) Technically this oxp is a joke which was born because it was so simple to made. A good background story for this weapon need more effort than the whole code. :) Sounds familiar. Quite. Not like there was a link in the wiki entry suggesting that killit mis...

You can always save beforehand if you are really that concerned about your trumbles. Don't Panic, we wouldn't tell PETA about your trumble genocide if you happen to succeed, anyways.

Maybe it should just be the Oolite Encylco(o)pedia?

edit: sorry that this topic is a bit old.

Re: Source Code and Ideas question

Some of us are liking it so much it's now our main gaming version... These days, it's my solemn duty to play trunk anyway - but the life of an interstellar courier in 1.79 is highly addictive (and there are mules now too). I've even considered (albeit briefly) swapping the Cobra Mk III for the Wolf...

Re: communicating with other ships

There could be a short range of generic signals for common messages, designed to be quickly understood across a broad range of cultures - like "SOS" or "Mayday". Perhaps if this was made less like radio comms, and more like naval flag-signalling, it would help the context and se...

Re: A different kind of Cloak

Liking the lollypops idea, nice one guys 8) Assuming there was still a masslock created by the ships then that would likely be a big clue to their presence. Perhaps there's a lone cobra I (or similar) that's visible, apparently minding its own business... Can derelicts trigger masslocks? Perhaps th...

Re: Looking for multiplayer 3D space shooter

If you're not going to ask me to write code or model anything, sure. I am willing and able to be a warm body at one of the computers. Only thing is the players would need some amount of energy in their capacitors or else they won't be able to shoot. edit: or exist, since you die if your ship reaches...

Hey, I have tried registering a couple times and have never received an email. Any idea who I should contact?

edit: Nevermind. The system finally worked.

Re: Tales from the spacelanes...

Rolled out of the station only to find that the traffic controllers must be crazy. As soon as I cleared the tube, I rear ended a viper! Thankfully he didn't write me up. I then on a later jump (ooc: I believe I died after jumping to the next system) was trying some smuggling. It really is true about...

Re: Have Lockheed-Martin engineers been playing Oolite?

Maybe LM has just invented the military laser? After all, what is this techno-babble supposed to mean? "The Military Laser, despite the marketing hype, is nothing more than a beam laser with additional laser tubes. " I get the impression from Google that laser tubes are a laser beam emitte...

Re: Progress

Ok, thanks. I was wondering because some of the older ship packs like wolfwood's variants are still nice, but some of the other authors (wolfwood was in recently, I believe) are gone and their ships are probably unlikely to be updated and so I was wondering.

Re: Split: Difficulty for new players

I think the torus is fine, however I found my self engaged in that dangerous occupation known as thinking. Really, the easiest fix would seem to be making it possible for a non-hostile npc and you to agree to synchronize, after a certain time needed for you both to be sure the other is trustworthy, ...

Re: Progress

Do ship oxps have to be updated into oxzs? I thought I heard they might not, but if they weren't they would not take advantage of the new ai features and such. I read over the topic, but didn't find an answer.
