Have you thought of the Unreal Development Kit? (www.udk.com). That way, us codies and modellers would be able to work with you a lot easier (udk is free to download for everyone now - cryengine has really tough license requirements).

Sometimes you just need to change the power supply. I've had a couple of external drives that I thought I'd lost, until some suggested the power supply - and presto, they started booting up fine again.
