You make a good point though - I think the default Coriolis skins should be replaced with the gritty coriolis ones. Beer + docking = salsa. Yes, I can't emphasize enough just how much better they look ;-) Especially how the sun light and shadows are cast as well. I reckon a similar make-over to the...

So... You load up on beer and then complain docking is too hard?  Just like in real life, man! LOL  Well actually, I start out almost (damn it - I swear definately) able to dock when sober. Admittedly, it does little (after a fair while) for my reactions but helps dampen the frustra...

Yes, change your savefile. Open it in a texteditor, not Word but a simple texteditor that doesn't add hidden markupstuff etc... search for something like (can't access my own savefile right now, so approx) ....<key> has dockingcomputers: false change it to 'true'... Sir, you are truely great! (doth...

Something For The Beer Crowd

Okay, I've discovered a great way to enjoy Oolite. First, you must get yourself 3D accel enabled (Linux,Mac,PC) and tv out gfx card (Nvidia,ATi). Then, output to large TV screen (me? 32" crt, you hdtv??). Now find a good spacey, ambient internet station ( I use 'streamtuner' app and browse 'sho...

Nit Picky Bug

Hi all. This isn't a show stopper, but when you watch the (multi-ship) rotating demo screen after first start up of Oolite, the ships/items flash quickly and then disappear instead of displaying for their allocated time. The 'stable' game version is fine. Only the 'dev' versions seem to do this. :o ...

The trick with oolite keys on Linux/Win32 is that the code that translates from SDL key events to oolite's idea of what keys are pressed doesn't recognise all keys on the keyboard. There is no reason all the keys can't be mapped, but none of the Linux/Win32 devs have wanted the unmapped keys badly ...

Ok, You're right and I'm just being lazy! Well, I tried the original keymap (BBC) and sure enough , . (<>) didn't work. Again I have not checked time stamps here, but here's the original post I refer to:- https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?t=1029&highlight=keymap It seems I am wrong on ...

My Keymap Layout For You :-)

Hello All, I thought I would share my keymap should anyone be interested. Basically, I have split the up/down and left/right keys, in the spirit of (but not the same as), the BBC Micro version. The most important keys (for combat situations, defensive response) have been clustered around the movement...

Crikey! I first had this game for.. wait for it.. the Acorn Electron way back in the eighties :) I know.. tsk. Sadly, my parents wouldn't stretch to a BBC Model B .. damn.. :-( Anyway, I have just installed the Linux x86 autopackage version and what a snap! (rsync'd too). Bang, straight in there. FY...
