I've got the deb-src line; I thought synaptic would show me the source package. I'll check again, or use the apt-get line. Thanks loads! No, synaptic, aptitude, kynaptic do not show source packages. Since source packages are usually of interest only to developers and is expected that they know what...

Sorry to seem like a bastard, but: any chance we could get a source package? I run Debian unstable. If I had a source package, I'd gladly add ejectItem to other objects, and take a look at the text-sticking bug (no promises on that one!). The source package is present. Just add a deb-src line to yo...

Actually, 1.65-2 (yes, 1.65-2, due to a mistake in 1.65-1, the later was not released) is ready, but since I am not a DD I am waiting for a sponsor to upload it. Dito for oolite-data. Oolite 1.65-2 is now present for some time in Debian Sid and Debian Etch. Debian Sarge backports are done on reques...

backporting from the Debian Package into upstream

Hello, As you might know, Debian has a set of internal policies for Debian packages, which I also followed when I created the package. As a consequence, I have created a man page, a .desktop file and did some tricks with files. The man page and desktop files could be integrated into upstream and I w...

It seems to me we could make apt packages to install individual OXPs in the system-wide directory. This couldn't be that difficult. What's involved in becoming a Debian developer, I wonder? This is planned, but I didn't had time for it, ATM. We, the Debian Games Team, intend to create a tool which ...

Someone (ie not me ;) should make a dir structure that contains all the required source from GNUstep and a makefile to compile it along with the Oolite source so we can get rid of the absurdly opaque build system and masses of junk that come with it. I am sorry, but I don't agree with you, shared l...

You will need an Objectual C compiler (GNU maybe?), GNUstep base, SDL and SDL mixer libraries, and that should be enough for compilation. If you have those, it should be enough to be able to compile the source and give the program a go on Sparc. Get the -src and -data packages compile te source, add...

Yep. If you are using Debian Sid, Oolite 1-65 is now available through the goodness of APT. 8)

It don't get much easier than that!
You surely mean 1.62-5 ;-)

I'll try to make 1.65 available asap.

I installed svn, then typed svn checkout svn://svn.berlios.de/yourproject/trunk and got a lot of files scrolling by, but I'm not sure what happe...
