I might have a go at doing an OXP on this. A 10% chance when docked of being offered the hit. If accepted, then check conditions on exiting hyperspace. If in right system add the "mark" to the systems ships. True this would mean the victim is always in the system. I reckon I could do it wi...

True, you can dock without a computer, but as the Capitain just keeps moving about it is tricky!

I have had the message "You are fined X credits and made to pick up litter in the hanger" when I've manually docked as a fugertive. Police ships still take pot shots at you whilst trying to dock. True Commuity Punishment may be a tad leinient for piracy and mass-murder, but the authorities...

Random Assassination Contracts

I really like the randomly generated "take passenger X to planet Y" and "carry goods X to planet Y" feature. The new rewards for capturing / rescuring commander in their escape pods is also good. Would it be possible using the same sort of code to create an assisinations board. (...

Think stations do refuse permission to dock if you are furgetive. Although you can still dock manually.

If you have Thargoid Carrier installed, then there is a scripted battle in witch-space, as you get a random number of carriers, navy ships and thargoid warships. A 3% chance of meeting one in normal space seems fair enough. The guys have to get som R&R at some point!

The is a way out if you have Behomoth installed (assuming as they usually are there is one or two about in witchspace) and you have a docking computer. Dock with one a refuel. A bit like a caraven in the desert.

I think there was a bug in the GRAVEYARD.OXP which caused Dodo stations in general (rather than just the one near the Gaveyard) appear all over the place with the name of the Graveyard Station. Think this was fixed in a later version of the OXP and I've not had this bug since. Post the OXP author if...

As a 30 somthing ex-BBC elite player, gotta admit I played the game for about a month without realising that the OXPs would work on a PC. Then spent a saturday morning downloading, unzipping, installing every OXP on Ooosat1 and 2 (and driving my wife mad)! If u want variety in the game, the best thi...

Also try the "rusty ships" (think its mpakredux) It adds variety, but also if your finding it hard to get started trade in for a rusty Cobra MkIII. The old banger will be a bit slower and have slightly weaker shields, but you'll get a lot of cash back for your factory fresh Cobra allowing ...

Think "nagging nora" is OXP only (unless Giles made it native in the new version, it certainly used to be OXP only). If you want to personalise what the voice says (ie so it doesn't warn you of everthing) if you go to the OXPs Sounds folder and delete or move elsewhere the events you don't...

I have to admit I've made them standard in my game. If you edit the script and change the name to corralis station (or whatever the default name for the stations is), it replaces 100% of the time.

I'm pretty sure that with Custom Sounds in, the voice says "Missile Launched" and "Warning Incoming Missile" as approprate. You may need the latest version of the OXP and the new 1.65b3 version of Oolite for this to work though.

Sorry to double post, but I have Spysweeper Beta 5 installed as my Spywhere protection. With this running, Oolite crashes an unplayable every 10 mins or so. With Spysweeper temporaly turned off whilst I play Oolite, the game very rarley crashes (once in 5 hours). Maybe that other users are experienc...
