Yes, a Q-Mine purple bubble would be sweet, but I'm trying not to alienate the traditionalists, hence the minimalist suggestion.

The last time my ship needed repairing, I waited a *long* time before going to the dock. When I eventually did purchase the repair option, they took my money, but the repair option stayed on the menu. I flew to a couple of different worlds and it was still an option. So I bought it a second time. Do...

Blast wave

When one hits the ECM, there is an invisible blastwave which grows out from your ship blowing up missiles in the area. Close missiles are destroyed sooner than distant misiles. It takes on the order of a second for an ECM pulse to sweep the entire screen. Could this effect be added to the Energy Bom...

Re: Armored transports full of cheap crap

Taken out massive convoy including Vipers first, and what i see inside? Platinum? Gold? No! Food, textile, slaves, minerals and other cheap stuff. Who needs armored transport and convoy to deliver this? It's called "backhauling". Your primary job is to deliver goods from A to B, but on th...

It appears to be a Texas redneck thing. I stayed a month in Texas, but didn't get it either. Probably because I spent my time at the Johnson Space Center, rather than the trailer park.

Those are great. We mustn't forget the newest addition which is about to grace our Ooniverse:

The Can Opener. He's the one who's protecting a slow-moving Anaconda, and decides to drop a Q-mine. Hilarity ensues.

Escort contracts

I see the Aegidian's to-do list includes: "player-purchasable escort contract" Sounds great! Will we be able to choose which type of escorts we get to purchase? The four I've seen so far are: The Spectator. Sits back and watches the fireworks as his employer is reduced to metal fragments. ...

Couldn't the Q-bomb and the E-bomb switch prices? Now I only bother to buy the E-bomb because it's cheaper and it's more effective. If it was the other way round I think I'd use the Q-bomb when I'm lazy and save the E-bomb for real emergencies (like that pack of wolfes I ran into earlier today). Ag...

"a" vs "a n"

In Galaxy 3: "The planet Bixein is a n unremarkable dump." This file needs to be edited: Contents/Resources/Config/descriptions.plist Line 247 changed from: <string>a [15] [16]</string> to: <string>a[15] [16]</string> This has been tested and does not break the other cases. However, there'...

Re: Trivial cargo tonnage bug

This is most likely a result of you having scooped gems/gold/platinum. They are scooped up in 1 tonne canisters into your cargo bay. As you can see from the screen shot, this isn't just a misunderstanding/miscalculation of the precious metals or gems. This is reporting 0t on a cargo bay filled with...

Trivial cargo tonnage bug

I've just docked, and my status page says I have 0t cargo, but then lists all the stuff I've got in my cargo bay: http://neil.fraser.name/temp/cargo.png If I buy one ton of something, then the correct total tonnage is reported. If it helps, here's my saved file: http://neil.fraser.name/temp/cargo.oo...

and now he gets into your crosshairs, and the helper shows Looks great! Just a word of caution, I found that the original Elite's guns got worse and worse as you bought better models. Sure the firepower was superior, but the crosshairs became more elaborate. The end result was that the military las...
