Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
I was hoping that an F9 option might be included in the nightlies, allowing access to this sort of thing- the on-board relevant chunks of the F4 docked ship-station interface (e-mails, GalCop Almanac, GNN news, Visa expiration times, etc .). Alas, my persuasive abilities failed utterly... :( I feel...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
So the forum gave us a couple of days off... More time to play, and break stuff :D Mission description issue. Read quickly it almost makes sense. Read slowly, carefully, exactly as written, and it's almost funny. Channelling Stanley Unwin maybe? Cargo recovery One of our trade ships pilot in the Enl...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
There's currently a conflict with the Galactic Almanac and GalCop Missions. The Almanac is renaming a bunch of ships, and that renaming process breaks most of the satellite missions, because the mission script is looking for a specific text to be the satellite name. But because the Alamanc changes ...

Re: Special Equipment, Experimental (SE-X Drive)
and the nod in the direction of where I can tweak for scientific evaluation  Tweaked. Allowed. Working. Had to go to a high TL to remove the FE teleport without ripping out the OXP and stuffing another character. I've not teleported into any planets or stars, which makes a change. Bonus... se...

Re: Special Equipment, Experimental (SE-X Drive)
Thanks for the rapid and detailed replies, and the nod in the direction of where I can tweak for scientific evaluation ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
I'll play with Explorers Club another day.

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
Don't know if it will help, but can you set up a profile for Oolite? If so, try disabling multi-threading (or whatever it's called on intel gfx). Might be able to nobble CPU threading in EFI bios, though I've never had cause to do that in 30+ years of Linux-ing. I've no clue if it can be done for t...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
I still see one core running near 100% when I pause, which seems a bit mad/un-green. What's being processed while paused? Is there a Thargoid under my dashboard, immune to pause, mining bitcoin on my docking computer? What graphics card are you running? VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation ...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
I feel there should be confirmation of mission outcome. Forgot about the email. Exactly what you get as email, but on screen between hitting 'complete' and returning to the BB would do nicely. This bit probably needs posting as a whole game issue, though the GalCop mission controls suffer f...

Re: Special Equipment, Experimental (SE-X Drive)
I'm having no luck with this. I've tried adding Explorers Club, then removing that and the FE shipyards teleport (which was aboard to begin with). While I had the FE teleport installed, I tried to configure with Torus button to avoid conflict. Installed by renaming to SEX_Drive.oxz and dropping in ~...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
I feel there should be confirmation of mission outcome. When you hit the "complete mission" button on the bulletin board, nothing seems to happen. It returns silently to the BB. with the completed mission erased. I feel that there should be some info given here. Just words to the effect......

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
@MrFlibble: ((Thank you!) * 3) ^ 3 Thank you so much for your testing reports. This OXP was been in sore need of someone other than me (who knows how the missions are supposed to play out) poking holes in the logic. More power to you, sir! Thank you sir! I have been in a similar situation. Everythi...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
whoopsie! If that truly is a bow tie that you are wearing, then I would be privileged to put your name forwards for membership of the Honourable Guild of Test Pilots , if you are so disposed. Standards of sartorial elegance have sadly fallen and a resurrection of suitable traditions is much needed....

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
Defend satellites: I smashed one of the satellites (whoopsie!). After defending the last, the mission update alert lead me to F5 which showed "Defend 0 satellites in Dicebe from all attackers", rather than, "Go back to the station for a yelling-at" or similar.

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
I'd expect a "win and return", or "not quite a win but return anyway" at this point, rather what appears to be an invitation to keep looking for zero things. Went back to the origin station and cashed in.. it seems that the job was a success despite being short :? Should have be...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
I'm grabbing cargo from an asteroid belt.11 barrels to find. I've smashed two, and each time I broke one, the number to find shown in F5 goes down by one. I've just gathered the last (9 of 11 with 2 destroyed). F5 now shows "Find remaining 0 cargo canisters..." I'd expect a "win and r...
