DeveloperSpace

So I created a NPC ship and wanted to look at it in action, so to speak. The easiest way I could think of to do this was to set it up as a trader and hope to come across it. I also edited its' role so that it would be chosen more often, however this is still kinda hit and miss. Maybe a 'DeveloperSpa...

Screenshots

I think the topic name is obvious enough. I can't seem to be able to take a screenshot, asterisk is the right button? Is it enabled in Linux Oolite? Oh and where would said screenshot go?

Cheers

OK, so could you tell me the exact 'phrase' i.e:

./obj2dattex.py filename.obj

is that right? Obviously is the correct directory I assume.

ok, I tried what you said and I got:

Code: Select all

obj2dattex.py: command not found

I tried using upper case letters in the right places.

I am doing nothing with .dat files as none have been created!

creating ships

I created a very basic ship as a learning tool, so to speak. The problem I am having is that the python script fails to convert the .obj into .dat. It says something about the .dat not existing, which is correct as the script is suppose to create it.

I am using SUSE and wings3D.

I was in an anarchic system last night, trying to build up my kill count, I was was severely hampered by the fact that almost evryone was getting away in their poxy pods!

Alright, I can't shoot the pod, so I rammed it instead! Still no kill count.

Killing

So what is the quickest way to rack up the kills? It seems to me that miss-jumping into witchspace is the best(and riskiest) way. Am I right? I have also noticed that if an enemy ejects in his escape pod then I don't get the kill, so surely I should be allowed to shoot the pod? I rate the extra kill...

Thanks guys, indeed I do not have the 'Multi-Targeting System'. Thought that I would only need that to target mutiple enemies.
