Re: Sizes and scale in Oolite (again)
Does anybody have any idea as to how many people one would expect to find on a Coriolis station ? 1km x 1km x 1km... No idea. But I'd compare it a bit to Aircraft Carriers. They are a base for planes and provide all the infrastructure these planes need. Including crew and the infrastructure they ne...

Current screenshots uses a gray diffusemap and the normal/spec map from erh, hence the industrial look ;) Wondering if we could attach a fe...

Re: Latest Oolite 1.90 on Debian 10
Do I understand correctly the FPS rate is not only used to render the graphics but resembles the speed of the game loop and therefore the rate for polling the input devices? Render fps and game logic ticks are decoupled, the game can tick up to a minimum of 0.25 sec (which is why you will never see...

Re: Latest Oolite 1.90 on Debian 10
Looks like you are running on software 3D acceleration; this framerate is extremely low and carries tremendous input lag, which probably explains why keys need to be presses more than once sometimes. Do I understand correctly the FPS rate is not only used to render the graphics but resembles the sp...

Re: Latest Oolite 1.90 on Debian 10
Welcome aboard! We do already have some items covered which you can build on.
OoliteStarter is based on Java and comes with installers for all three operating systems.

Re: OoliteStarter
Wondering if (if it's not too complex) there might be point in having two sets of Flavours: Flavours (for different games) Issue-solvers (for nobbling specific problems) - for dumb pilots like myself who need aid in combat, for Redspear's mass-lock sufferers, for crash-dockers and lastly for those ...

Re: How to Log In on Oolite.Space
Process has started. Should be done in about 30 minutes Still shows 0.92 rather than 0.93 in Expansion Manager. Hmmm. The above sequence of events is stunning if you look at the timestamps. The build job got kicked off, but it could not push the result to the website. Kicking it off again to see if...

Re: Oolite Flavours
It would also be nice to be able to select multiple flavours. Say, for instance, I want the beginner's set and the depth set. At the moment, there is no clear way I could achieve that. I can't even see what mods are included in each, so I couldn't go and put the list together myself. If we could be...

Re: How to Log In on Oolite.Space
There is no login via Oolite.space for uploading new files. It's all done via https://github.com/OoliteProject/oolite-expansion-catalog Short version: upload your new OXZ to the wiki, and I'll trigger the update. Probably this deserves a bit more attention: https://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Publish...

Re: OoliteStarter
I tested some more and found some interesting effects in OoliteStarter. I also found out that the in game expansion manager is peculiar enough it only detects the installed expansion's version if it has the one very special name. So I adapted OoliteStarter. No more version numbers in expansion filen...

Re: OoliteStarter
Restart Oolite, but this time go into the "Manage Expansion Packs" menu. Update the expansions list, and then find GalCop Galactic Registry in the list. It should be highlighted in cyan, indicating there is an update ready to install. https://i.postimg.cc/DZT9wWRS/image.png Curiously, Ool...

Re: OoliteStarter
I don't understand this. The Manifest.plist and in-game Expansions Manager used to work perfectly, as far as I could ascertain. What has changed? The expansion manager has not changed. The expansions have not changed (ok they are compatible). Oolite is quite flexible on filenames in the addons and ...

Re: OoliteStarter
Thank you phkb for describing the issue. Looking at an older post I'd say Oolite behaves as expected yet the in game manager does not. See THIS OLD POST of mine. Basically you can rename an OXZ to anything you like and the game will still recognize it. However, you will have to do some extra file ma...
