Re: Sizes and scale in Oolite (again)
Does anybody have any idea as to how many people one would expect to find on a Coriolis station? 1km x 1km x 1km...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (probably)
I was thinking more in terms of what one is actually flying through on the way down to the beacon. Would it be that difficult to create clouds/sandstorms/rainstorms/lightening storms to fly one's ship through? I'd would need to create a visual effect (which is the easy bit) that is then thrown up i...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (probably)
Can one increase the turbulence on Zaatxe below (say) 5km - and possibly even add "sand" to the effects? As for the sand effects - yeah, not as sure. Not sure I could come up with something that wouldn't be immersion breaking. Signs are definitely pointing to "maybe", with regul...

Re: Planetfall 2.0 (probably)
Can one increase the turbulence on Zaatxe below (say) 4km - and possibly even add "sand" to the effects? I know you meant to write 4km, because that's where the red zone on the altimeter starts. And, my guess is the substantive answer is: yes, but it would be javascripted, not just tweaki...

From Famous Planets: "0 8" ={description = "Zaatxe is a rich corporate state in the Pulsar Worlds with an abundance of red sand. Zaatxerian sand is a so-called ultraconductor and is used in computers. There are countless plants that convert the Zaatxerian sand into computer related pr...

Wondering if (if it's not too complex) there might be point in having two sets of Flavours: Flavours (for different games) Issue-solvers (for nobbling specific problems) - for dumb pilots like myself who need aid in combat, for Redspear's mass-lock sufferers, for crash-dockers and lastly for those w...

Re: Metafiction: Dialogues on the Lore of Xlite
Greetings of hale be unto thee, Commander Cholmondely! Thy eschatological excellence! With Phkb's new version of PlanetFall, would you be interested in helping out with naming planetary sites (for a new version of Famous Planets)? This is not really my field of study at the moment, but I'll give it...

Re: OoliteStarter
Thank you phkb for describing the issue. Looking at an older post I'd say Oolite behaves as expected yet the in game manager does not. ... Apparently it is not sufficient to keep the manifest as is. The problem may only show up when upgrading OXPs via in game after they were installed by OoliteStar...

Re: Fumigation
I had recently captured a petty crook, Es Lodiri from Reorte, and was very surprised to see his state of agitation when he was being escorted away by Galcop troopers. He was fair hopping about and seemed very frantic. I knew myself He was only a small time bandit, having totalled his Krait I got th...

"Merchantman" implies (to me) that they are independent merchanters who just happen to be stationed in the system and be lugging stuff around it. But they are presumably under the thumb of the regime and just transporting regime stuff from a to b. How about "Revolutionary Hauliers&quo...
