Re: Xenon HUD

I like this a lot, particularly the switchable high-contrast display.

Well done. :)

Re: Random Hits - Fugitive Bounty Hunters

Thanks for having a look but there's nothing more to tell, really. Once I dock with the Space Bar, everything seems to work OK and the marks and escorts appear in the right system and act as one would expect. It occurred to me that another OXP/OXZ might be clashing with Random Hits, so over the week...

Random Hits - Fugitive Bounty Hunters

Greetings! Apologies if I've put this is in the wrong forum, but I've recently encountered a strange issue that seems to be affecting Random Hits 1.10.4. In a nutshell, all of the bounty hunters - wherever I come across them - appear to have Fugitive status! While it's amusing to sit and watch two b...

Greetings indeed, from another newly-unretired Commander.

My, hasn't it all grown?

I just had to edit the vanilla planetinfo.plist and change both hyperspace tunnel colors to black, so that it doesn't interfere with the amazingness of Svengali's creation. Well done, sir.
Wow! Great minds really do think alike.

I've just logged in to say exactly the same thing.

Excellent work, Svengali! I doff my 'slightly foxed' VMFA-314 baseball cap to you. :D

Concerning Grey Areas recommendation I've been testing that concept to see what damage can be inflicted upon ships the size of Boa's and larger without destroying them.
Nice one, Captain! :D

I do like this missile, but I didn't enjoy being on the receiving end of one yesterday!

Re: [Test Release] The I Missile

I've been using v1.05 for a few days now, and I like it. It comes in really handy with the Random Hits OXP, I can tell you! I was going to suggest that you give NPCs a chance to ECM the missile, but I see that great minds think alike. Perhaps the weapon energy could be a little lower, so that...

Re: Dream Weapon (No, I'm not proposing another OXP here)

Depends on what kind of damage-dealing you have in mind. I was thinking in terms of a high rate of fire (5-10 rounds a second), short range and small non-explosive kinetic impact. Will the small railgun deliver that? Yep. :) (Perhaps the impact is a little bigger than you had in mind. Comparable to...

Re: Dream Weapon (No, I'm not proposing another OXP here)

How about a chain-driven Gatling cannon as a short-range last ditch defence? Something like the real-world Phalanx autonomous missile defence system, for instance, without necessarily being turret-mounted. A suitably high rate of fire combined with short range and a limited ammo supply should ensure ...

T'would be the decent thing to do, IMHO, and a nice low-key tribute to a great SF series into the bargain.

Re: Clearing Up a Debate Once and For All

I voted for 'balance'. True, I'm flying a (slightly) modified Caduceus Omega - which I paid for with hard-earned cash, I might add. But, on the other hand, I have NPC Shields, Thargoid Threat and a few other equally 'challenging' OXPs installed, which evens the balance out more than somewhat....
