QC mines-lite....a contradiction. You do realise that the only things that differentiates a Q-bomb from a missile are: - a five second delayed detonation - no intercept capability - it has the cascade effect Take away the cascade and you have a missile without a rocketengine. True, to a certain ext...

I like the rotational speeds as they stand - to me, they do seem static at first glance.

On a practical basis, if we're going to have realistic rotations, we might not need to rotate the planets at all. I suspect that most players wouldn't be in-system long enough to notice.

Low end mines?

At the moment, we have missiles (30cr), ECM hardened missiles (350cr) and Q-bombs (2500cr). How about having things in between? For example: Type II Missile: 100cr - like a missile, but only has a 50% chance of being ECMed. Nuclear Mine: 500cr - does the same damage as a Q-bomb to whatever it touche...

Apologies if you've tried this already, but try opening a mixer app (KMix if you have KDE) - make sure PCM and whatever sound output you want aren't muted.

Amazon has the first CD here and the second CD here . Thank you - just ordered one of each :D I can't reccommend them enough. I always have one or the other on if I'm writing or if I'm playing a game like Elite... I'm both hard of hearing and partially sighted. "No Surrender, No Retreat" ...

The Babylon 5 soundtrack (especially the Battle of the Line theme) Babylon 5 soundtrack? Could you post details of the CD, please? Me want... I love the No Surrender, No Retreat "music video" that came with the Season 4 DVDs - my rip of the music from that is permanently resident on my MP...

I also think that energy bombs and QCM's are a bit of a cop out too, I would much rather dogfight I definitely consider energy bombs a cop-out. Totally risk free, blast everything in sight, completely unrealistic. I do carry a Q-bomb, though - for me, the risk of blowing yourself up if you get it w...

I must admit, I used to want the laser cooler. Now I've learned to fight without one. There are lots of options: - witchdrive fuel injectors - great for a quick burst to break an enemy's lock, or a sustained one to escape and wait for your ship systems to regenerate. - shield upgrades. - energy unit...

No, no, haggis are cool. There's a lot people don't realise about haggis, in fact. Haggis are four legged creatures closely related to voles. They measure 6-8 inches in length when fully grown, and have shorter legs on one side than the other. Male haggis have short right legs, female ones have shor...

In today's multicultural world, the kilt is an essential item of apparel. Ever been to a Muslim party? Ever tried to smuggle a bottle of whisky in your trousers? Even if you draw the line at taping bottles to your hairy legs, you can at least carry a few miniatures in your sporran.
