And then, once the nightly is installed, you can always update to the latest build just by opening a terminal in the Oolite-trunk folder and executing:

Code: Select all

./oolite-trunk-update
Oh brilliant! Ok, getting that...

Re: Docking == Crashing?

Version 1.79, 100% succes rate with standard ships (Cobra Mk.III, Mk.I, Constrictor, Python), with some OXP ships (Lyra class, Caddy, Falcon, Typhoon Freighter, Sunracer, Kestrel) 100% too. Ok, I'll try to upgrade. Thanks for all the tests! I've tried to compile the Git version on Ubuntu 14.04. Aft...

Re: Docking == Crashing?

If your FPS is below 20 (press Shift+F to see) then try to increase it by reducing graphics details in Game Options (p for pause then F2) at least until you will arrive into the dock and your luck should be better. That's not it. I think it's that not-turning-at-the-end bug. My FPS is typically > 60.

Re: Docking == Crashing?

The important thing here is, the autopilot shouldn't fly you into the side of the station: that's why we need to know what version of Oolite lesliev is running (and, maybe, if the stations are default main system stations, or have been produced by an OXP). I also agree that "d" to dump ca...

Docking == Crashing?

Hi everyone! I started a new Oolite game today and after quite a few runs with manual docking I could finally afford a docking computer. First thing, I pressed 'd', which was the old Elite key and of course dropped my cargo. Reloaded. Flew back to the station I wanted to dock at, pressed 'c' and wai...

Well that's just it: showing the difference from the average shows you how much of a good deal you are looking at. And sometimes you have a small profit on something, but there's a full 35t available and that makes it a good buy.

Thanks for all the welcomings!

The version I used to play was the CGA PC version, and later Elite Plus on the PC. There were buying and selling prices for each commodity, not just one price. And the prices always stayed the same for a system. I downloaded Elite Plus again to check. Back in the DOS days I wrote a program which all...

Hmmm, thanks everyone.

I did see the Commodities.plist wiki entry but assumed MARKET_RND was random with a fixed seed so that market prices stayed the same for each system - like in the original Elite.

I assume Javascript can't read the plist dictionaries after they have been loaded by Oolite?

Reading commodity prices

Hello!

I have been browsing the Javascript reference for a while but I can't seem to see anything for reading commodity prices. I want to read the commodity prices for the whole galaxy - or if that's too slow, perhaps just all the commodity prices within one or two jumps.

How do you do that?

It won't work on Box dot Net, part of their website excludes resume support.

Sorry to hear that. Re-uploading the file will be my next TO-DO thing. Then it will be a bit smaller. :cry: Sorry for now :roll: THANKS! I managed to download it last night, all in one go, but I'm sure other people will have the same problem. I noticed 2.0 was in the 'static' portion of Box dot Net...

Can't download Famous Planets

Hi everyone! I am having a hard time downloading all 800MB of the Famous Planets OXP. Box dot net doesn't seem to support any kind of resuming and no amount of hacking Flashgot or Wget is getting me anywhere. I spent all night getting 600MB before the connection broke. Are there any other mirrors? O...
