Repopulation of the Ooniverse?

I know there is a thread for something like that somewhere, but I was not able to find it. Apart from that I don't have much time to look for it at work, so... Anyways, I am thinking of something along the lines of maybe replacing, or renaming, the existing species in the ooniverse. For example &quo...

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

Just so that I can confirm: the rescaling experiment is working quite well, it's now showing stations in their correct size on the scanner (5:1 level). A little hard to see because it's flashing, but it's definitely there (look closely)   http://www.oolite.de/forumimage.php?ima...

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

I have finally been able to pull the code, built the code, and run it with all my expansions. Griff's retextures also work now.

I'll either place the code in a GitHub, or upload it to the server I got for my Oolite experiments.

One more question: how can I compile with debugging symbols removed?

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

Pulling the code is now working. Always the fine print... I guess.

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

I also would like to mention that I am unable to pull code from this repo in its entirety: https://github.com/Garryck/oolite-rescaling-experiment I can do the initial clone, however when I am attempting to pull the submodules, I am asked for username and password, which always fails. Seems as if I h...

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

I pulled the current 1.85 code from GutHub, and compiled. I replaced the .exe (which had a siye of 25 Megs) with the one provided here (5 Megs), and installed the OXP bundled in the same download. I end up only being able to use vanilla textures. I will pull the code again, but do all the changes my...

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

That's not what I meant... I meant the textures and shaders are not shown and/or respected. That's weird, it shouldn't do anything to them... Can you please confirm if it also happens to entites that have not been rescaled e.g. stations, pythons, transporters, anacondas? This appears to be the case...

For some reason this build is not respecting Griff's shader ships. Everything else is working, as it seems.

I'll be having a go at the Rescale build tonight and will let you know about my findings.

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

Seems as if Diziet's instruction regarding the changes for shipdata.plist is not applicable. The model scale factor value is nowhere to be found for any ship type. I should mention that I attempted to apply those to the current 1.85 code.

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

So in other words, if I pull the current 1.85 code, perform all these changes in the code files and rebuild, I have a Rescale build, yes?

If so, I'd build that for Windows, offer prebuild binaries and place it on my GitHub
