I think the closest you can get to that in the moment is he Ship Configuration OXP. It can probably be done some other way, but that's for the devs to answer.

So I decided on a name and final design: DeeperSpace . I was so disappointed, that I couldn't get the original version, I decided to rebuild DeepSpace from the images on the Wiki. As soon as the OXP releases, I will also provide the Blender model I used to re-create the HUD - including the textures....

Where to begin with courier/parcel contracts?

I want to make a name for myself, taxiing some items around. I left Lave to a Corporate, Democratic and Confederacy state. The main stations did not have jobs on offer... or when they did, more experienced pilots were needed.

So where should one go to begin these contracts?

I have seen rotating models when entering a station. So I am wondering if it is possible to show some kind of dock area with your current ship in the background? Of course, the normal UI for interfaces and so on would still be there and usable as normal. I guess this would be a pure ambience feature...

So I really got the hots for the Deepspace HUD (not the retro one). This HUD is not to be found in the OXP Manager, and the links on that page are dead.

Does anyone have this one archived somewhere? Or is someone willing to upload that OXP somewhere? I'd really want to try it.

I don't know if this is being used in Oolite's source... if it isn't, maybe it's possible to implement libnoise , a coherent noise generator. Among other things it is capable of procedually generate planetary textures, to the level you define. There are quite some awesome examples, so maybe this is ...
