I'll never forget the first time I made a kill and made it all the way to the station. That was the first time I ever crashed into a station!
This was exactly me last night. Victorious!!!
You also crashed into a station?

Cheap replacement ship - how to find one?

I'm just looking for hints... my Cobra Mk II is pretty battered and I don't think I can completely repair it. What kind of ships are there in the 80,000 credits range? And where to get them? Am I right in the assumption that the "lower" you go in system security (with Anarchy being the low...

Re: Screenshots

OK so... here's my first go at screenshot making. Nothing too fancy, but they aren't bad either. Not half bad. but ... you've painted your Cobra (?) in Desert Camouflage?? So you'll blend into the CO2 snows and tholins of a passing asteroid while youre trying to hide from the Ferdie with the attitu...

Re: Tales from the spacelanes...

In the beginning I traded my Cobra Mk III for a Mk II-X. Not being very experienced in combat, I still attempted a passenger and some parcel runs. On one passenger mission, I somehow encountered a glitch (I posted about that), but this glitch also somehow left the damages on my ship intact. I spent ...

Re: How to build Oolite source on Ubuntu

src/Core/OOPolygonSprite.m:259: error: ‘GLUtesselator’ undeclared (first use in this function) I am also puzzled by this error. On Ubuntu 16.04, got all dependencies, libraries and headers needed for compilation installed. The glu.h file tells me that the GLUTesselator that the class is defined :?:...

Re: Did I just find a glitch in the game?

That's how it seems - after ejecting, on arrival at the station you'll 'awake' in a replacement ship. Do you have auto-eject installed? I'm not sure I installed that. If so, that might be the reason - however, the replacement ship was completely battered, which cost me pretty much all the money I h...

I'm not sure it fired, plus I still have my ship.

Did I just find a glitch in the game?

I was in combat just now, apparently mercenaries hired to take me out because of the passenger I am carrying. As I'm a pretty noob commander, I'm on the verge of losing my ship. Then, an attacker rams me. I can see my ship explode, but nothing happens. Not the "Press Space Commander" thing...

Re: First kills

Got my first 5 in Rilace (Galaxy 1), a communist system... last one rammed me and blew up. Then some allies came along and saved what was left of my shiny bottom. Warped out to deep space quite a while, then aligned with the station, and docked in safety :)

Re: [WIP] DeeperSpace HUD

I'm beginning with the OXP creation. Obviously I'm starting with the basics, but it's pretty much what I thought it's gonna be. Here's the alpha version in the vanilla code of the game, just launched from Lave. I didn't actually configure any dials and their positions yet, it's just to get a feeling...

First kills

I must say I am a bit frustrated at getting the first kills. I probably killed 10 ships by now, but of course, I too died in the process. After at least one kill I constantly mass-lock into other bubbles of bad guys, and since then my ship is in pretty bad shape, I won't last much longer. How did yo...

Re: Split: Re-scaling experiment

Okay so... I'm pretty excited about this little project going on here. I'd most certainly try this myself. I'm not on Windows, but on Ubuntu... so for those using that kind of OS'es, these are the steps/things you need to have and/or do - in this order (if I got that right): Install the GNUstep libr...
