Re: Longway mission

Well, it could have been more extreme. A search for "longway" in the thread subject came up with this one, one with the last post in 2006 and one with the last post in 2005. I did think about writing something in all three . . .

Re: AI Trading Assistant

I might have misunderstood you earlier, Richard. When you say the average prices disappear did you mean the average cost (bold yellow column on the right) or hard-coded list of average GalCop prices (green column on the left)? If it's the latter, it does indeed appear and disappear because I think ...

Re: Longway mission

This mission seems to be okay in 1.80. I half-remember the passenger making comments during the journey and that didn't happen, but maybe that's something I made up; it's been a while! Rich.

Re: Black Baron broken? (solved)

Hi again. This seems to be okay with 1.80. Were the ships always that black? Rich.

Re: [Release] Bounty Informer v1.0

Hi. I'll do a check but suspect it does not get on with Numeric HUD, it's not showing anything now I've installed that, it did work with MilHUD, not sure if I tried it with the default. Bounty Scanner works, the only issue with that is the synthetic voice reads out the bounty as part of the name, bu...

Re: Dodec station with a bounty on it???

There's a fair number of safety checks in the current AIs that should stop ships attacking the main station unless they really meant to, but it's possible that some OXP ships are using older AIs. Could you post your Latest.log if you see something like this happen again, please, or at least the OXP...

Re: (NEW RELEASE) NumericHUDv3.oxp

Hi. Thanks for responding. I'm confused, though. I don't have a problem installing the selector but don't get what you're saying about reactivating after launch. I have Oolite 1.80, Numeric HUD 3.27, Combat MFD 1.10, CommsLogMFD 1.4.0, Manifest MFD 1.1.1, Navigation MFD 1.3.3. I do not have a HUD se...

Re: Dodec station with a bounty on it???

I saw police attacking the station on two separate occasions in the last day or two. No bounty on the station but messages from the coppers saying stuff like "Coriolis targeted". I also got the impression that they stopped firing on one occasion, a viper said it was going to shoot the cori...

Re: AI Trading Assistant

'Scuse essay here, trying to explain how I used it and what I saw from memory. When installing it I had in mind to see how it worked so set it not to actually do anything, just advise on whether prices were high or low for selling, typically that's all I so as I'm in transporting parcels and clients...

Re: (NEW RELEASE) NumericHUDv3.oxp

Hello Wildeblood. No HUD selector, no. As you noted I haven't played the game for a bit so several things are newish and perhaps I missed some instruction or other for correct use. I have that HUD and a few MFDs installed but no selector. They appeared first time I tried using them so I assumed they...

Re: AI Trading Assistant

Hello. Nice work, and useful, but I have found a couple of difficulties. It seems to cause MFDs in numeric HUD to disappear after launching. I also found its screens in f8 a little difficult to follow, seemed to change in an odd manner when I was pressing buttons to trade, eg, average prices, when t...

Re: (NEW RELEASE) NumericHUDv3.oxp

On a slightly different note to the driver stuff, I have a few comments and suggestions. 1. This HUD is very good, thumbs up. 2. It does not get on with the AI trading assistant, it often loses MFD items on launching from a station if that is present (away went the problem when removed the AI assist...

Hello (again). Thought I'd post that this appears to be fine with 1.80. The target is still very difficult to kill (vs vg abgvprf lbh). Rich.

Re: You picked the wrong client

Thanks for that explanation, cim. I can see the reasoning and, as said, think it's a reasonable idea, it's just there was something about all the attacks that became dull and - from an enjoyment perspective - a little irritating, to be honest. At present I've gone off passenger contracts and it seem...

Re: You picked the wrong client

Thanks for the reply there - yes, it seemed excessive and detracted from enjoyment (it's boring pressing "0" and waiting until the scanner's clear). One thing I just realised is that maybe this is to do with the galaxy. I went through to G5 doing the in-built missions and then went about a...
