Ship equipment disappears in 1.76.1
I've upgraded from 1.75 to 1.76.1 but when I load a 1.75 savegame into 1.76.1 most of my ship equipment disappears eg. docking computers, witchspace fuel injectors. Anyone else had this and know of a solution?

Re: It's confession time - who is an Oolite addict
I don't think I'm an addict. My wife disagrees. I think we've had this discussion before. If your "significant other" enquires about your Elite/Oolite/Frontier/Pioneer obsession, take some time to explain it to them. If they still don't get it, well that's their problem

Re: It's confession time - who is an Oolite addict
Here's another variation; I'm not an Oolite addict, I'm a Frontier addict :D Actually playing the game (FFED3D): probably 2-3 hours per week. Fiddling around with my website, producing Kindle versions of FEU fiction (my current hobby) and various other nonsense takes up somewhere in the region of 20...
Re: Pioneer's Drift
Hold the press Steve! There was some small conversion errors that crept into the text and it moved one of the pictures to the wrong place, so I've uploaded a new version called SOLOTF1.1.pdf. Sorry about that :( No worries! I'm not going to be hunched over a keyboard very much while this nic...
Re: Pioneer's Drift
I was working from an HTML document as the source, and the way to do it is to put the chapter headings inside <h1> or <h2> tags.Tricky wrote:How??? Been trying to sort out TOC creation myself.
How you generate a TOC from another source, I wouldn't have a scooby
Re: Pioneer's Drift
Great work!!
I've converted the stories to Kindle format; though not perfectly. No matter what I try, Calibre won't generate a table of contents
EDIT: Ha! Cracked it! Should have a Kindle version ready in the next day or so

Re: Pioneer Alpha 10 promotion :)
Crumbs, I'm not an expert on any of this  The scanner would produce a picture file, presumably. So you could insert each page of "Secrets" into a text document in OO and then get it to produce the pdf file. The only problem is that it wouldn't be a "true" pdf book ie. the re...
Re: Pioneer Alpha 10 promotion :)
This has the pictures included. If I was doing this myself I would copy the text of the stories into something like Open Office and then add the scanned pictures to the file and use OO's "export as pdf" feature.
Re: Pioneer Alpha 10 promotion :)
I really hope D1 improves the download section of SSC soon. It seems really limited, compared to the old version.
Anyway, the best I can do with SOLOTF is here but it's in html, not pdf. You can use Calibre to convert it though.

Re: Unknown (Multiplayer clone for iOS)
I've been playing this quite a lot over the last few days, and it's great!
Anyone into Elite who owns an iPhone or iPad should download this pronto.
Personally I like the fact that the docking is quite forgiving; you can let the entry slot rotate as you go in and you'll survive

I don't post here much, but I'd like to express my gratitude for your excellent Oolite fiction stories. They will grace my Kindle for a long time to come!
