Re: In Service to the Margravine
Oh wow - hey! Back online after a few months; my last computer exploded (Literally! Main capacitor blew; it was pretty spectacular) and it's taken simply ages to rebuild everything! I do want to finish this story so I'll get into it right away.

Re: An actual for-real paper book!
Thank you! The Kindle version has had its own Facebook page since it was launched, and also I've been shamelessly touting the boards on message boards that I frequent. I figure some posters in local shops might help me shift a few copies, I'll get one in the library at the school where I work (it w...

Re: An actual for-real paper book!
Congratulations; that is a significant achievement!
It is a good story, well written and enjoyable
Do you have any particular plans to promote it? I, for one, am telling all my friends; I love Oolite and whenever I talk about it I include the fact that novels have been written about it.
Cheers!

Re: In Service to the Margravine
The trip down to the planet was an uneasy one. No-one seemed to know my status; least of all me. Was I a prisoner or not? I rode down to the planet with a detachment of soldiers. They had apparently not read the 'one-size-fits-all' rulebook where soldiers are supposed to glare suspiciously at strang...

Re: Tales from the spacelanes...
I found a buyer for electronics on an outlying Tetrahedron in the Zaaxeve system (Galaxy 2) and unloaded, making a tidy li'l profit. They had some nice luxurious items the Commisars back at the home planet would like, so I bought them up and headed back in-system. On the way out of the station's Aeg...

Wow, this is awesome! Keep up the good work! And star-jellies.... they're soooooo pretty, but... they have pretty explosive behavior too! Just remember, injectors are a commander's best friend! Oooo yes... if I hadn't had injectors you could call me 'Kingsford' and light your barbecue with me...

Ok - I've always torched 'em the moment one comes on board, so I never had to deal with any of that.

Re: Here's an idea: The Deadliest Threat of all ;)
Yikes - that's moderately terrifying.
I certainly haven't gotten that far; is the planet's destruction due to some kind of weapons fire, or is it a unique effect coded into the game? And if either, could it be used as a Planetkiller effect?

Re: Here's an idea: The Deadliest Threat of all ;)
It struck me suddenly that the Greatest, Deadliest, Most Implacable Threat the Universe has ever known would be tons of fun to experience within Oolite But Oolite already has the Greatest, Deadliest, Most Implacable Threat the Universe has ever known, surely? http://wiki.alioth.net/img_auth.php/thu...

Here's an idea: The Deadliest Threat of all ;)
Hi folks! I'm casting around, trying to find ideas to tinker with in the hopes of coming up with my own OXP sometime. It struck me suddenly that the Greatest, Deadliest, Most Implacable Threat the Universe has ever known would be tons of fun to experience within Oolite. I am, of course, referring to...

Re: Trouble with the 'Amnesty' mission
Yeah; I posted here because I couldn't find it at first - it was down on page 9. :D At any rate, I think I might know what's happening; there was nothing specifically referring to my problem but suggestions around other issues gave me something to go on. I'll have to find another Anarchy nearby to t...

Trouble with the 'Amnesty' mission
Hello, folks :) As the title suggests, I'm having trouble with the mission in which amnesty is offered by GalGop in return for a combat mission. I try to keep my nose clean, but I went rogue and attacked a station in order to get Offender status and arrived at the Boehemoth with plenty of time left ...

Re: Tales from the spacelanes...
I was just pulling into Riantiat with a bellyful of old, outdated processor parts; one of them outlying ports is paying through the nose for cheap stamped silicon. For once, the Witchpoint was clear...all that was in range was an Atlas chugging patiently towards the planet. Tempting...but no; not th...
