Thank you Norby. So there is the shuttle? Amazing.
The Andromeda works with ILS activated and yet still uses the transporter: it simply comes out once you hit a certain distance to the station.
I will try it with deactivated ILS.

Cloaking Device - hits not counted?

While running under activated Cloaking Device my hits are not counted. Is this on purpose? It would be plausible and only fair if you ask me but I wonder if it is on purpose.
Same with the "one shot über-weapon".

Thank you very much. I am playing my Star Destroyer and Dark Rainbow both on separate saves now. Just watching 72 Tie fighters coming back into my ship is simply amazing. The entire Star destroyer experience is great. i was never expecting that it would be possible to fly such ship at oolite ever! D...

I would like to say that oolite has by far the MOST available ships in both EVE and elite. This alone is an amazing fact. And don't tell me that eve is more complex...yes, it is maybe because you can set up 3 different kinds of space stations/factories to produce stuff. But compared to the dogfight ...

There is one thing I love! When I am facing a huge pack of pirates I always have my 6 quirium mines ready. I go into injector mode 5 kilometers before the pack and unload the first mine...then the second, the third right after another during flight.. a nice mine chain. Then I watch in afterview how ...

The only non-escort option I can think of is to make the big ships' shields so hugely powerful that little ships' attacks would just bounce off (you'd need to rewrite the little ship AI so they know that their attacks are useless, though - then they'd just run away). Then you could have big battles...

"to code in player-escort ships" - To be honest I do not need the escort ships concept at all. I like it, sure. But I think it is possible to live without it. The Bismark had such big steel plates that it simply deflected the projectiles of the Hood. Not to mention the 10 destroyers attac...
