Re: A game so good that ...

I can honestly say that each time I come into one of the stations in E: D in VR I'm truly awestruck. Something I've wished for since 1984.

Re: A game so good that ...

I have a Rift and a Quest 2. For E: D I use a Logitech Gamepad F710, the only keyboard control I have is the spacebar for shield boosters and I can find that by touch. NMS works fine with the controllers for both, in fact I would say that they have mostly 'cracked' the issue with some novel solution...

Re: A game so good that ...

As for the OP if you want to see the full impact of VR you need a good PC + GPU. Once these are in place try Elite Dangerous or No Mans Sky

perhaps in some situations it could be kept in its holster, or even - now and then - left at home ... (although there is of course the issue that putting the warheads back into the submarines in a time of global crisis might make things even more tense). Given that most of the MAD scenario is based...

Re: Should this really have been refunded?

Yes I did see mention of that game and had to look it up, if off-line-mode-gate was a 'scam' that lot look like Nigerian bankers.

Re: End of an Era

It seems that it just can't keep up with modern emission and safety standards.
I remember when its ability to not roll over
Call me odd but lets play 'spot the 4x4' that would pass this (to me) essential test on farm vehicles?

Re: Elite: Dangerous - so near, and yet so far!

It is expected game v. received game That makes a lot more sense to me now, thanks for pointing it out. As a general rule I'd agree with most of what has been said above, and in particular the off-line-mode-gate. For now I'm happy with what I have (but to me the £150 I paid for the lifetime beta pa...

Re: Should this really have been refunded?

He probably bought a really expensive player. Sorry, I really am being particularly dim on this one (the computer Games I play are limited to Oolite and Elite: Dang). So in this 'game' its possible to buy stuff (I get that, cheats etc etc have been around for a while and my missus likes to add extr...

Re: Elite: Dangerous - so near, and yet so far!

#1 is 90.2 hrs, complains bitterly about the 'grind' (wonder what he'd make of oolite?), refuses to buy into Horizons after saying there's been no development. I'm not a big gamer is $40 a lot for a game? #20 (ish) This game goes out of its way to make learning the game just as difficult as possible...

Re: Elite: Dangerous - beyond the frontier

Wonder if that community has an attention span <1 hour. Most of the review slate it for being 'difficult to learn' (sound familiar?), or slate it for the pricing policy.

I must be behind the times but what 'microtransactions' can tot up to over $7K for one game?
