Re: Do you love old racing cars?
I'm currently trying to ratify my ARDS license and my mate lets me drive one of his 'toys'. This is a 3l Marcos, with the correct in period engine which was 'fettled' by one his US based mates (who usually does NASCAR engines). He also owns a number of 'classic' racing cars. One is based here and ru...

This is a reverse Voigt test from 'Do Andriods ...', and in the back of my mind has Asimov plastered all over it. Trying to remember the book name ...

Re: Calling all Raspberry Pi owners...
I've posted on your 'other' thread and I am willing to help out where I can. I'll need a couple of pointers on how to get to the point where I can compile. I've got a second (new) model b as an xmas pressie with hopefully a PiNut bundle. Will I have to compile under linux? Ultimately I'd like to get...

Re: Future of Oolite what do you think?
Firstly I'd like to get involved in the project, although I'm a busy chap and don't get too much time to cut code (outside of work). I can bring 20+ years experience to the party, I'm used to collaborative dev environments and have used most source code repositories in the past (SVN or Git are the m...

Re: UK census - Jedi still seventh most popular religion
You forgot Sexism.Indeed all religion is quite sad - the cause of more violence, bigotry, and war than perhaps any other subject.

Re: David Braben's Elite: Dangerous - Kickstarter!
I've always wondered if the 'non-newtonian' physics way of combat in Elite (and therefore oolite) would actually come about as it's desirable to have as it's more intuitive (maybe because we evolved in Gravity). The magic of fly by wire could be extended to emulate any environment you wish. I realis...

Re: North Korea has joined the space-faring club
I notice that one comment has it that the US robot space plane was also launched, and without any irony at all.

Re: David Braben's Elite: Dangerous - Kickstarter!
I notice there doesn't seem to be a problem with laser temperature. I also couldn't make out what they were using as a controller. Also it looks like the missiles are 'fire and forget', and can be got at it you're not the target.

Re: Limit Theory
Having been in software development for over 20 years I'd have to say that the one man team is perhaps the most efficient. It's down side is that the one team member has to be prodigiously talented to pull it off. The best commercial teams have 3 members with one 'lead' and a good spread of skills. ...

Re: Any Nintendo DSi experts out there?
Navigate to the seller details and they are Located in China. The feedback is from all over the shop (although they do get some glowing reports, the latest ones are not so flattering with one saying that they are not UK based). My guess is that as soon as someone gives them less than 5 they immediat...
