Problem solved; it's not just shift+6, but it also depends on the country-settings of the keyboard. After having switched to the US-layout, it worked fine!

Re: Long range chart usability
Thanks for the help, but... no, as I don't have a retina mac, and haven't downloaded 1.82. I try to swap keyboards when back home, maybe it has something to do with the key settings?

Strange asteroids, turning into aggressive ships?
Good afternoon fellow commanders, I just crossed something unusual - a large fields of asteroids, and in the middle there was a bright white asteroid (but it wasn't tagged as "asteroid", it sounded much more valuable. Can't remember the name, unfortunately). When I shot it with the mining ...

Re: Black Widow Flightstick and Oolite - successful config
OK, just a feedback for the community: the joystick works flawlessly with the max (10.7.5) and oolite 1.80! Just did a small flight, but every button and all axes do what they are supposed to do!
And now: bring on the thargoids!

Re: Black Widow Flightstick and Oolite - successful config
Sorry for resurrecting the old thread, does anyone use this joystick on a Mac (Oolite 1.80), and can confirm that it works well?

Bah, just got a delivery contract which caused an attack from every man and his dog right after the hyperjump. Well, maybe transporting military plans was a bit too risky! Not fun to get jumped by 8-10 vessels on each trip.

Re: The Oolite chatroom
Yesterday I won the first multi-enemy-fight (6 of them). They were all offender/fugitive, but they didn't attack me. So I rammed one after the other, starting with the smaller ones. It was hard for the shields, and lost few containers, but since no shots were fired, they didn't fight back, strangely...

Good afternoon,
my name's Alex, from Switzerland, and just recently discovered Oolite. Having played Elite for nights and nights on the C64, it's great to see it is still around! Thanks to all the contributors and developers for keeping this game idea up!
