Re: Canon question about the Witchdrive
As Amah says, the [wiki]Wormhole Scanner[/wiki] is your friend here. Do not recommend this tricky OXP. What it really does is creating misjumps in addition to those created by the game engine itself, and then warns about them, as that's the only way for an OXP to be able to know that there will be ...

Re: Derelicts
It's definitely worth it in comparison to scooping the cargo. A cobra 3 yields 2000-4000cr, a python 3000-5000, both appear frequently as pirates. Most of the time they are accompanied by a larger number of fighter ships though, so that money is hard earned. You also have to make an annoying long bo...

You worked hard so that you now have a completely up-to-date and perfectly bug-free version of this OXP to share ?Wildeblood wrote:Why would I bump this topic after all these years?

would explain the differences in the Klingons between original series and STNG..lol They made some experiments with human genes which spread through the Klingon race in order to improve physical and mental abilities, but it had unexpected side consequences, namely flattening the forehead and losing...

Re: Deep Space Dredger
Sometimes it helps to repeatedly request docking clearance using key_docking_clearance_request. While they don't require it, that seems to stop them from moving away from the incoming derelict. May also help when docking yourself. Docking yourself and buying something that costs some ingame time (e....

Re: Ore Processor
You're using a Caddy with NEU for mining  ? Some people might take that as an insult, you know  . I would love to see the face on a poor miner's face flying a Mining Transported doing her long day shooting asteroids around a rock hermit and seeing a Caddy arriving and joining the fun. A...

Re: Ore Processor
This equipment does not need to be primable. Once it is hardwired, there should probably be a check that the player cannot run out of energy while processing. If in bad need, splinters can be ejected and re-scooped to initiate the processing process. But with fast enough energy recharge, it is impos...

Re: Asteroid Scanner
A splinter scanner but not an asteroid one. I installed an ore processor + scanner onto my adder start ship. A session with 5 TC cargo space gives you ~500cr on average, since the processed gold/platinum/gemstones is put into TCs instead of the ship's safe so need to dock regularly. it's fair given ...

Re: Randomshipnames.oxp v 1.4 released
And I wonder how/when the ship class is added into the displayed name string mix then... I fixed it for now by making bounty informer use displayName; its code obviously is called afterwards as it's using shipTargetAcquired and it tries to concatenate to any already existing name. And Randomshipname...

Re: [Release] Bounty Informer v1.0
This OXP conflicts with Randomshipnames, see https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?p=244051#p244051

Re: Randomshipnames.oxp v 1.4 released
This OXP conflicts with bounty informer , as both modify the ship's name. Having Randomshipnames installed negates Bounty informer's effect for anything but asteroids (as asteroids don't get a name). After glancing over the codes, I suspect that what's happening is that setting ship.displayName (whi...

Re: Vortex OXP (plus the Maelstrom)
Moreover, the Vortex also introduces problems when scooping cargo, and that even if it only is installed instead of flown: https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?p=243594#p243594 I support the idea to replace the cargo bay system by a normal cargo capacity, because it's what causes by far the least w...

Re: Scripters cove
Is it "officially" recommended to supply a dummy script containing nothing else than this.name or would this create unnecessary overhead? I guess it would create some. Imagine that all of the world scripts of an oolite installation appear be stored in some container, probably in a set-lik...

What do you mean, exactly ? I can buy or sell stuff at pirate coves. Does not seem to differ much from normal rock hermits.Layne wrote:the markets, like all older oxp markets, no longer seem to work at all.
