I'd probably fit into Kak's freelancer option. I'm usually carrying some sort of cargo, it's just that I usually choose to trade in dangerous systems whilst always leaving space in the hold for any goods others might mislay. Of course, these systems often contain spacebars (piloting is thirsty work)...

I'd have to go with Night Watch myself, but as Sam Vimes is my favourite character that's not too surprising.

I've been out of the spacelanes for a while (pesky Real Life TM) but this thread reminded me of an old incident from my bounty hunting career. I'd stopped off at a space bar for a quick beverage and perhaps news of a tempting contract in the vicinity and was rather pleased to find a valuable bounty ...

That is strange. Still,it's nice to know I haven't lost all my marbles just yet (I was beginning to doubt my memory for a minute there).

No I didn't (although it was an option). The only authentication was the usual enter the strange shaped letters deal.

Strange, I wasn't asked for a phone number when I set up the gmail account last night. No identity verification was required at all to be honest.
