Re: Adder start: No kidding it's hard!

I have done exactly the same, and thought the same thing too :) Now I pretty much always have my weapons offline and only turn them on if theres trouble, which I suppose is quite often really as I usually go looking for it ;) and in that situation it doesn't matter so much. Turning the weapons off w...

Re: Lost in Transit (Novel under construction)

@staggerlee Going by your last comment, it looks like my suggestion was not needed :) Cody's comment pretty much sums up what I was suggesting (I think he got the idea across better then I did) and the warning is a good idea. Maybe just say it contains strong language and your covered. Just to make ...

Re: Lost in Transit (Novel under construction)

A very good read so far, staggerlee. I too enjoyed the grittiness of it and also the detail you have included to make the station and characters seem realistic. One thing I would suggest (and you are free to ignore) is that you go easy on the swears, while I personally don't mind at all, others may,...

Re: 1.79 expected behaviour?

Commit 6f8dc2d seems to have done the trick, Confirmed. however I still get sometimes this error when resetting to the startup screen: 01:24:23.810 [script.javaScript.exception.unexpectedType]: ***** JavaScript exception (Oolite Police AI 1.79): TypeError: worldScripts['oolite-libPriorityAI'] is un...

Re: 1.79 expected behaviour?

@ a_c Thanks for the detailed explanation, I figured it was expected as it was fine after the restart, but thought I would ask rather than ass u me. :) As for the crash after trying to remove the oxps, I thought it was closing oolite to shut the oxps down and was going start up again (whilst saving ...

1.79 expected behaviour?

1.79 9519bb3 (Windows 8.1 64bit) 3 things I have noticed. 1: Whenever I run the game it opens to the main menu, exits, starts up again and is then fine. Is this expected behaviour? 2: I decided to start a new Jameson with no oxp's installed. When selecting some of the oxps for removal in the oxp man...

Re: Docking == Crashing?

]Just to check: you don't have Norby's "reverse up-down controls in aft view" OXP installed? I can't imagine the docking computer would cope well with that. Your right cim, that's exactly what it was, removed it and everything's fine. I only bought the docking computer try to help test it...

Re: Docking == Crashing?

1.79, Cobra MK III. I have only docked 5 times so far and it has crashed once ( I switched to look out of the rear view as I docked and the docking computer was definitely active). I have noticed that if I switch to aft view the docking computer gets confused as if resetting. It especially seems to ...

Re: Adder start: No kidding it's hard!

Oh, got in a bit of a scrap with the Adder and saw my energy go down even though my shields were up (did not use ECM) Using your lasers drains energy, probably more noticeable on an Adder :) it took forever to recharge (didn't move an inch for over a minute!). The energy recharge rate on an Adder i...

Re: Adder start: No kidding it's hard!

@ mossfoot maybe you should name your ship "Sir Robin" :lol:

I've always loved the idea of using the Adder as a proper combat ship but I think I lack the required skill, even when I take my Caddy Omega out for a spin I sometimes get my aft handed to me :oops:
