Re: Hijacking a ship
Ideas of the top of my head. player would need some criminal reputation to stand a chance to succeed in the theft. This could be built up over time through criminal activities. player would get a 'bounty' placed on them by the owner, so can be attacked by assassins as per courier contracts. la...

Re: Parcel / passenger transport
I carry all those mentioned, despite I'm still only "medium trustworthy". So... Does it get worse? Are there different Levels of diplomatic / prototype docs? I do encounter all sort of enemies at the witchpoint beacon, yet they seem not to be there for me, so it's just coincidence? 3 pira...

Re: Canon question about the Witchdrive
As Amah says, the [wiki]Wormhole Scanner[/wiki] is your friend here. Do not recommend this tricky OXP. What it really does is creating misjumps in addition to those created by the game engine itself, and then warns about them, as that's the only way for an OXP to be able to know that there will be ...

Re: Begabi = Pirate Paradise Or Game Just Broken?
Welcome Commander. It's been said : Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. And what's happened here is you have fo...

Re: (BETA) Ship Configuration
Now that I've had a chance to do some flying (not seen any energy bank drainage with the latest update) the thing that is affecting me most is the speed and manoeuvring ability of the standard equipped ships. Small ships like the Adder & CobraI seen to be disproportionally affected over large sh...

Re: (BETA) Ship Configuration
Fixed issue (hopefully!) where energy was being drained away on launch. Sadly it's still draining for me :( Here's a list of my OXPs if that'll help. ~/Library/Application Support/Oolite/Managed AddOns/oolite.oxp.AndreyBelov.DuplexFuelTank.oxz ~/Library/Application Support/Oolite/Managed AddOns/ool...

Re: Cheating
Why does the core NPC Cobra3 have a top speed of just 300? Does anyone know the history? I've always assumed it's so the player doesn't regularly become permanently masslocked by a ship they can't overhaul. As I have I, and it might be useful to reduce frustration for a first time player (although ...

Re: Cheating
Have you tricked your ride? Almost the opposite. :D I've tried to make sure that all the ships I can buy are no better than the ones the NPCs have. I've made small changes to many ships but any changes should affect the Ooniverse, not just me. So for example: The player CobraIII has a max speed of ...

Re: (BETA) Ship Configuration
Ok - big bug
On launch all energy banks are instantly drained and does not regenerate. Does it with a new ship and established ones. Happens in 1.82 & trunk.

Nice
Just had a quick look, will give it a proper go later.
One small bug I found - Class4 Aft shields cost is wrong 1250.0Cr instead of 12500.0Cr.

Re: Elite: Dangerous - and buggies!
Buggies - or more correctly, SRVs! What can I say? As for Linux, Diz - I reckon they'd have got more sales from Penguinistas than from Mac users! I wonder how many Mac users adopted the same plan as I have. I watched the PC release whilst they were producing the Mac port. I viewed the initial relea...
