As someone learning Russian, I might give the translations a go!

Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to translate/collate the files!

Right, final report from me on this. The ATI Catalyst package (driver and CCC) works up to Version 9.3. This sets up a system as follows: Driver Packaging Version 8.591-090225a-076825C-ATI Catalyst™ Version 09.3 Provider ATI Technologies Inc. 2D Driver Version 6.14.10.6925 2D Driver File Path System...

Update this morning (I know it's boring everyone, but anyway...) Guru3D has pretty much every Catalyst version from the last year or so, here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Videocards---ATI-Catalyst-XP-32-bit_c18.html I tried the latest (9.9), but that didn't recognise my card. I went back to 8.12 – t...

Thanks for the info about the shaders – how could I do that (in a config file somewhere, right?)

I have d/l'ed the Omega drivers, but they specifically don't include OpenGL support, AFAIK.

I'm just trying some old Catalyst versions from guru3D, might work...

This gets more and more interesting. I removed ALL my ATI drivers (going back to "that boot screen" in XP, where everything is about 640 x 480). This rolled me back to ATI driver Version 8.251.0.0 (presumably the stock driver that came with the laptop and which XP has somewhere on the syst...

Hi,

Yes, after checking forums it seems the Xpress 1150 has all kinds of driver problems, especially as regards OpenGL.

I'll root around a bit, but, as said, I'm building a new system in a couple of weeks, so it can wait.

Cheers,

Ed

Neither test nor stable work on my system

Hi folks, I'm trying to run Oolite (any!) on a Compaq NX6325, with Windows XP SP3. This laptop has some kind of built-in ATI graphics – reported by SiSoft Sandra as "Xpress 1150" and "Xpress 200M Series". Drivers are up-to-date – although this means out-of-date I guess, since the...

Hello! I have this exact same problem – using a laptop with in-built ATI graphics. The chipset is an Xpress and has the latest drivers (they don't release for Xpress cards any more).

I'll try the stable version, since I guess my laptop card is too old for the new test version?
