Great idea, don't know why I hadn't thought about ti since I know some people into Steampunk.
I agree with Corny, looks a bit too much like gold and not as much as brass. If it could be darker and a bit tarnished from use, it would look better.

Commies adds more scenery to Commie planets, Dictators some as well.
Anarchies adds stuff but makes for a harder game as well.

Transhub and Torus give new lloks to some main stations.

I'm playing an awesome version that is available for free, so I don't know if I'll pay $40 or so for a similar game, maybe out of sheer curiousity, but more likely I'll wait for someone else to play it first and then be unimpressed by the review.

Even though you are going away, the temp will still rise somewhat until you get far enough away, so hit the injectors and get away as fast as you can.

Or buy some extra heat shielding
