Re: Pirate Coves

Re: Pirate Coves

'There is Ascension - introduced by Famous Planets.' Ooh, I want to go there, if only to tell the inhabitants: 'Look, there really is not what Proudhon et al had in mind!'

Re: Pirate Coves

phkb: thank you for your work; the changes that you describe - those made by the new version of the Pirate Coves OXP - sound like good ideas to me, though I have yet to test that new version. I think there's something to be said for Cholmondely's idea that pirate coves should exist only in in anarch...

Re: Expansion pack download still failing - ah . .

@Hiran: ah yes. Thank you for directing me; for some reason, my mind/eye was editing out that announcement. I do note that it is not ideal for a stickied thread to contain some twenty pages. So perhaps the following would be good: unsticky that one and replace it with a short announcement saying: fo...

Has there not been a thread stuck to every board about it?
I'm having trouble finding those stickies. Perhaps I have space-dust in my eyes.

Expansion pack download still failing - ah . .

Hello, Commanders Some months ago I think I reported on the board somewhere that the in-game manager was reporting 'download' failed. Now, perhaps I missed a reply or two to that post (and, if I did, I am sorry!) but/and I still have the problem . . (and disabling my firewall and VPN did not help). ...

What I've never managed to do is eject one into a wormhole (getting the positioning right is tricky).

Prohibiting fighting within the safety zone

I think it may have been said before, but I think it would be good were the player, when in the safety zone, to be told off (in the first instance) or fined (second instance) or even perhaps attacked (third instance?) for attacking offender or even perhaps fugitive ships. Ideally there would be some...

Re: Confused but willing to learn

draytalon With some work, in no time (by which I mean . . quite a lot of time) you'll near the heights of the core Oolite programmers who, I seem to recall, not so long ago issued a release of code that was entitled something like, 'The it-was-not-meant-to-be-THAT-broken release'. I myself - author ...

Re: Introduce Yourself.

Just now I've glanced at the recent entries on this thread. Observations: (1) I was unaware of the interesting-sounding 'first finance' OXP; (2) I believe that nieces and nephews and other young folk are for telling you what technology to get, and helping you to work it, but not, sadly, for paying f...
