Re: [RELEASE:] Interstellar Tweak OXP

Well, Mr Flibble, thank you for that report. At present I cannot easily fix the problem (my main PC died) but I'll be able to investigate with a week or two. I hope that you will not fry me alive with your hex-vision.

Re: (Demo) Black Holes

There are some amazing planet textures shown within that thread.

That black hole - sucking in stuff, yes? - has an amazing appearance!

Re: Windows testers needed for modernised build

Right: I did not manage to reproduce the hang, but that might be because I did not manage to trigger exactly the same Interstellar Tweaks scenario, though I did end up in an Interstellar Tweaks scenario that was similar to the one that I had when there was the hang. I'll test by making the Tweaks tr...

Re: Windows testers needed for modernised build

I tested that PNG file by loading it into (1) Windows' Paint, (2) GIMP (again on Windows) and in both cases it worked and neither case did the program show me an error message or warning. Also: with the latest test build, and the previous test build, Windows (10) is not showing the program as instal...

Re: Windows testers needed for modernised build

Hi mcarans I tried OoliteInstall-1.91.0.7726-251025-416a81a-win-test.exe. My testing went as follows. Load a commander. Look at some station screens. Launch. Force misjump. Get annihilated by Thargoids. And again. And again. (I'm out of practice, alright?) Launch. Force misjump. See empty interstell...

Re: Player ship hyperspace jump crash to desktop

Speaking of being 'so out-of-date as to be irrelevant': my Interstellar Tweaks OXP might be the cause of the problem (if you have that OXP installed) or, potentially, the solution. It could be the solution in the following sense. That OXP does all sorts of messing with the old interstellar black stu...

I peform necromancy upon this thread only to say that the parenthesis within the thread's title tickled me! Might I add: is your name not important? :)

Moderator(s): move some of this stuff? It's become chat for established hands, which is good, but might put off any new-comers!

Oh.

Westpac, I gather, is an Australian bank.

Do you / did you really not have enough food, Internet friend? (Well, I'm unsure we're corresponded, but you are an Ooliter of - perhaps more than - good standing.)

Re: Introduce Yourself.

Dear all Murgh's most recent message - i.e. the one immediately above this one - concluded with two images, which showed on my machine (and here, for once, my silly username might be of use) as something like 'content not available in your region'. So, I switched my VPN to the USA, reloaded, did a s...

Re: Introduce Yourself.

Murgh! I've got two of your OXPs installed - nuVipers and Military Fiasco. I use the ships in Fiasco for some of the interstellar pirates ( sic ) in my Interstellar Tweaks OXP. To adapt something someone said about one of the ships I created in my Extra Thargoids: those multi-front-laser ships are r...

Re: An Ethics OXP?

Thanks, Cholmondely. Re 2 My understanding was that meta-ethics contrasts the approaches of Deontology/Consequentialism/Virtue ethics from a higher perspective. That idea is new to me (and I have been in or at least near the philosophical world for a long time). On the naming of (what became called)...

Re: Gripe / bug / user error: erratic steering

Hi Cholmondely I am flying by mouse (!). I believe I have no relevant OXPs, except the one supplying my ship. I do have BulletDrive, but the problem is not - or I have not noticed it when - using the torus drive. I have Military Fuel Injectors too - but dito (and I looked within that latter OXP and ...
