galaxymap for merchants

Hi As a merchant my primary interest is to find two planets to haul freight between. Therefore I would really like a tool (OXP) which would allow me to pick two economies types Then the tool should show me a list of planets (also show them on the galactic map) which fit my search query ordered by th...

Re: Inter Galactic Hyperdrive - suggestion

@Smivs

I have tried to sunskim, based on your explanation, and must say that it was an absolute hassle free experience - I haven't done this since my "Elite days" on the good old C64.

Re: Inter Galactic Hyperdrive - suggestion

I can see that such a device would be a problem to have if it makes certain missions to easy, however, I didn't gave that one single thought when I posted my suggestion as I was more interested in being able to carry cargo, parcels or passengers in an easier manner. And this is precisely why you do...

Inter Galactic Hyperdrive - suggestion

Hi Would it hurt the fun-factor of the game if players could purchase an Inter Galactic Hyperdrive, which would enable players to jump for example 50 - 60 light years - like it is possible using the Galactic Hyperdrive ? I could imagine such an item to have stats like this: Price: 2500CR - 3500CR Te...

Advanced Navigational Array - a few suggestions

Hi I really like the Advanced Navigational Array, however, it lacks a few features which would be nice to have: 1. an option to choose safer routes ie. I would like to my route from A to B not to pass through planet systems where the government is for example worse than Multi-Governmental (which wou...

Re: Ships: original Elite/Oolite vs. Elite: Dangerous

The excuse that the changes have to do with internal space does not really pan out when you consider the fact that they could just have made the hull bigger and there would have been no need to round off the edges. Frontier wanted to maintain the external scale of the ships, yet at the same time ha...

Re: Ships: original Elite/Oolite vs. Elite: Dangerous

Personally I think the Gravity Doughnut ship looks kinda stupid and it doesn't fall into my self-established category of Elite ships *getting old, conservative and grumpy all over again*

Re: Ships: original Elite/Oolite vs. Elite: Dangerous

Hi Neo The thing is Frontier aim to have the player being able to walk around the inside of the ship and because of that, the internal modelling will effect how the ship looks externally. I don't have much knowledge when it comes to 3D modelling, so I don't really understand how the external shape ...

Ships: original Elite/Oolite vs. Elite: Dangerous

Hi Well, I hate to sound like the old grumpy and conservative man whom is sitting on a bench in the park wondering what has happened to the youth of today. But after I have had more than a few looks at the spaceships Frontier Development makes for the new Elite: Dangerous I have a hard time acceptin...

Re: Balance

Hi I had very tough time dealing with a Mamba last night which seemed to be almost invulnerable to shots from my military laser. I have also be longing for a laser cooling device for my laserguns, however, I did discover that I could switch from my front and to my rear-mounted laser and wait for the...

Re: Lost in Z - help with docking needed

Hi Hmmm, that sound a bit strange - I personally find the final few meters to docking gate to be pretty tough to do at times as the rotation of my ship seems to be screwed up - even the docking computer have problems ! I seem you have a problem with your alignment, well may I suggest that you approa...

Re: Store saved games in the right folder please

I know that this might sound a little picky, but I think that it should be made so a user's saved games was stored in the "oolite-saves" folder (C:\Oolite\oolite.app\oolite-saves) - it just more nice and tidy this way. It is supposed to do put them there. I wonder why it isn't for you. Oo...

Store saved games in the right folder please

Hi I have just had my experience with Oolite and I must say that it great - ie. it is just a fun to play as Elite was back in my teen years all those years ago. Well, down to business: when I was looking in the folder where Oolite is stored I discovered a folder called "oolite-saves", I ha...
