Yeah, but I can't bring myself to drop the cash on a tugboat when I can get a Terrapin for less and do bounty runs. Granted, most bounties don't even cover the cost of missiles, but it's a lot more fun than playing intergalactic trucker.Heck, they make cargo missions a snap.

Shift-click? Are you sure you're doing that right? Apparently, no. I thought it was kinda strange that gnome would have that kind of function built in. Anyway, I did a little more editing to the shield bars. I couldn't figure out how to fade them, but I made them thinner so they're not really an ob...

Re: carrier market suggestions (or maybe ships?)
I also do believe that the cargo contracts require too big ships. Flying a Caduceus Omega with 50T capacity, I can practically NEVER find a contract. It's something like one per month or so - and most ships have a much smaller capacity, similar to the CM3. Exactly my point. In order to get your rep...

edit: Weird. It didn't work. I've started and quit the game a few times since. I started it again just now and it suddenly started working. I didn't do anything different, not even a shift-click when I started... Ok...last little tweak. The bars are a little too conspicuous. Is there any way to fade...

Looking at your quoted code, it even appears to consist of two different encoding versions, thus resulting both in normal and double line feeds. There's a perfectly good reason for that, and that is my laziness. :D Well, sorta. I copied and pasted the code right over. Normally, I might type it out,...

As I tell people, there are no dumb questions.. if you don't ask, you won't learn... Granted, but with Linux, it's like I'm starting from scratch with computers. Don't get me wrong, though, it is definitely worth it to be rid of Vista. :) Do you now have shader support? I assume I do. I have the op...

carrier market suggestions (or maybe ships?)
After playing for a while, I noticed that I never do anything with the carrier market since either a) it would be more profitable to do a milk run, or, more importantly b) I don't qualify for the mission because I don't have a crew berth or enough cargo space. Of course, I haven't been playing long ...

a small suggestion for the short range + com. market screens
I recently found out that pressing "i" while on the short range chart replaces names with icons for what they produce, although some just show numbers. What would be a nice touch would be: a) have icons for everything b) show icons for what they are the top producers and also what they nee...

I always feel like a doof asking for Linux advice because the answer ends up being really simple. Go to package manager, search for NVIDIA, install latest drivers. I blame all those years I use windows. :P Anyway, it seems to be working properly. The latest I had was 173, not 180, but it is still be...

Interesting comparison...unless the other card does not support shaders, it's driver is so old that it apparantly has no support for them. I suspected this might happen. Ubuntu does auto update for most packages, but because NVIDIA isn't officially supported, I'm starting to think I have to do it m...

You know, you are right. it does sound a bit harsh and my apologies for this. Well, I didn't mean to turn this into a suggestion thread (I apologize for that). And, I'm certainly not suggesting that Oolite should get jazzed up for the sake of jazzing up. I was just thinking that there have been man...
